Hey everyone.
Another finished scene along with a few wip shots.

The old abandoned Fluid X gas station. Guess people weren´t to keen on using their high octane biohazardous fuel. :)

Cinema4D & Maxwell for the foreground structure, Bryce 5.5 for the city in the back & in normal order, Photoshop for the postwork.

So, is this some type of refueling station? The docks are really narrow, what type of thing would refuel here?

Looks good, only there are a few functional questions that come to mind!

A gas station for flying cars...?
They are assumed to dock where you can see gaps in the railings. As for the functionality, well it is science fiction after all. ;)

Awesome. Texturing, lighting, everything. Need to find a better render engine, though... ;)

The difference between a render and a masterpiece can be made with functionality.

Functionality can mean many things. The Story of the artwork is one. The Mechanics of the artwork is another. There's a little bit of Story here, but very little in the way of Mechanics, and that's what keeps this from being stellar.

Thank you. :)

how many polys is that?
About 1.6 million polys for the foreground C4D structure, and almost 6 million for the cityscape.

It ias a your original concept?

Yep, the concept is my own.
Not sure about the exact time, but i think it was around 15-20 hours for a 4000x2000 render.
I use a Quad Q6600 and 4 GB Ram on this machine.

how long did it take u to model/texture it?
Around 45 hours in total, give or take a few and not counting render time.

Thanks everyone. :)
