Hey I recently got Truespace 3 free with a demo disc.I tried using it but its so wierd compared to Maya.I was wondering if there is some kind of GI plugin or anything to get some good renders. If I make anything good then I'll post it.Also are there shortcut keys for switching between Move rotate and scale?I use these quite a lot and find it a bit of a hassle having to click the button each time :( Thanks for any answers :)

Hi, no there's no GI plug-in for 3 that I know of.
The shortcuts for Move Rotate and Scale are z x & c respectively. You can also constrain the axes using a s & d for x y & z respectively. For more help you might try:
Caligari Message Boards (http://forum.caligari.com/discus/messages/board-topics.html)
It's the official trueSpace board.
In version 4 they introduced Radiosity, in version 5 they introduced IBL lights, which simulates a sphere of lights, the color and intensity of which can come from an image file.

try and track down a copy of the "coolpowers" plug in suite - i'm pretty sure there was a light array set up in there which will give you the same overall effect as IBL lighting.
Truespace 3 which is now a bit dated offers a half decent set of modelling tools - weird to get used to the way everything works but surprisingly logical when you get your head around it - which mag did you get it from?
