Challenge #6
Space Graveyard
What do you have to do:
Whoa, so this month we have a special theme :) Thought that matte techniques can only be used for on-planet views? Well, think again :)
This month we're gonna tackle with a space scene, specifically a Space Graveyard. For all the sci-fi fans out there, think to this as a background for a flying ship...maybe an intro into the movie or an establishing shot.
Imagine derelict ships, steel hulks and waste lying abandoned out on the edge of space, or ships snared in a giant web of mines. Or a moon that is half blown and you can see it together with the debris field it created, that would be cool :)
Want more ideas? Here's an inspirational link: http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/ip.html
Note: Use his works only as inspiration - they are Illustrations and NOT Matte Paintings. We're looking for a photorealistic scene
Deadline: 6th June 2008
Have fun and be creative! :)
