It is an excellent book. It also gets a bit sleepy when he gets into the math, but for all purposes, it does what it claims. Between the tutorials and some of the writings I had to decipher, it proved to be invaluable. My copy was missing the last 15 pages and the index as it didnt get glued in. I've sent it to the publisher for a replacement. There is also a part on HDRI on the cd.

a guitar hero character can be anyone. In the game they have zeus (god of rock) Lou (the devil). Heck for all you zombie lovers you could create a zombie and just give em a guitar :)

yeah, for guitar hero, it could be anyone that can hold a guitar. im thinking of making a goro like character (4 arms) and have him playing the quad guitar from nitro:
