I started the foot and legs a while back and found that Im going to need to build the entire lower body in order for the parts to come together correctly (otherwise I will have to go back and fix everything)
So I started the missile box that will be mounted on the legs. Holy $h!t its 4:30am O.o
This post is short and sweet, im going to bed. :wall:

Added some more detials and started the hierarchy on the doors for rigging-
A few more details (Model the inside, add missiles) and i will start texturing.
I will add a way to mount the box to the leg once the leg model is complete.

Made some minor changes (Moved Parts, Vertex adjustments, simple cleaning)
Added Internal modeling and missiles.
Still need to add some detail to the main body.

Minor update:
Added some surface objects to make the case more interesting.
Some cleaning in preporation for tiangulation and then UVing.

Mapped the missile and did some basic texturing.

I think im going to make the missile an instanced partical for the animation so the object will stay low poly (might make a high quality version for close ups)

Do you plan on making a highpoly version, or you will continue with the unsmoothed look?
Looks like a very cool character to be doing, the dual miniguns is pretty badass

Yeah I think I am going to do a high poly version, this low poly model is for the animation. I figure the missiles will be extreamly motion blured all of the time so the low poly works out just fine but for close up camera passes I will need a high poly.
There is a second type of missile I need to make, so ill probly pump out the high poly when im making the other missile.
The gun was a lot of fun to model and im looking forward to finishing the textures on it :D
*SIGH* I wish I did this for a living...

Awesome stuff man! That teaser is terribly mean by the way. I keep checking these threads just for your stuff.
As far as crit's, I don't see any issue with the missile box at all.

I agree its a shame, but I just can't get my foot in the door. :cry:
But hey, standing in front of a machine all day changing parts, is just as fun right? :dunno:... :ugh:... :xx:...
UPDATE (sorta):
Ok I was getting really ticked off trying to do the foot today...
Had to freez transformations and delete history 2 million times (dont ask why there not in my marking menu, I dont know :roll:)
And dont ask why i wrote this insted of just adding them to my marking menus... I just felt like writing some code! :dance:
So I figure I'll share it. It's not perfect but it's good enough for now.
I'm sure there are better tools out there but this is my tool, so you should use it :shy: :wave:

For those of you following this project, you will be happy to know that things are going to speed up very shortly. My process of doing this one part at a time will no longer work with the Mobile Suite. I need to block out the entire suite and do the detail in layers or I will end up redoing the same parts a million times.
Im still going to work in sections though. Im dividing the Mobile Suite part into 3 sections (Head, Upper Body, Lower Body). Ill start with the lower body, so expect to see the thread posted some time this week.

UPDATE:
Well I know I said I was going to wait on the high poly missile, but I got off work realy early today and didn't know what to do with myself. So here it is.
I wasnt sure what kind of details to use in this situation. I feel like I should keep on adding detail because its such a simple object. Guess I'll see how it goes.
