I have tried to learn 3d for a few years now, booth times I for some reason just stopped doing it. Third times a charm! :) So now I have begun again with 3ds max trying to learn the basics so I can eventually make the scenes I got up in my head.
I didnt know quite what to do so I looked at my desk and I found this USB memory stick. I have also tried to do a couple of dirty ones to get atleast some understanding on how dirtmasks and displacement works. I used the built in blend in 3ds max, thats how you supposed to do it right?
Comments and crits are warmly welcomed since I really need it to learn, and if you know any tutorials on how to make smooth edges I would appriciate a link. I used chamfering but I might have overdone it, maybe there is a way to use a small amount of chamfering and then a smooth modifier or something? Oh well, enough talking, heres the pictures.
The clean one:
High res:
The dirty one:
The even dirtier one, and a bit deformed:
Wire:
So like I said comments and crits are warmly welcomed. Really appriciate it guys.
*edit: Forgot one thing, modeled and textured in 3ds max and rendered with vray.
