I only finished Max Payne and got to the "chick-level" in 2 but neither had a supernatural undertone in them, IMHO.

Other than that it looks cool.

That movie I have been waiting for, for a long time. Played Max Payne 2 a lot, so the only thing I was missing from the trailer, which has to be in the movie, is the bullet-time effect.

Wow, loved the games, especially the bullet time effect and blowing a guy's head off with a sawn off shotgun, hopefully they'll put the same style into the movie. From the looks of the trailers there's the same dark macabre feeling with an undertone of sarcasm aswell as the nice deep narration.

Mark Whalberg seems to fit the bill fairly well.

It'll be interesting to see how this does at the box office, I personally think it looks great, but sometimes Video Game Movie Tranfers don't always work out...........think Street Fighter :(, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Brothers :(

Although there are some fairly good one i'll admit, Resident Evil was ok, as was Alone In The Dark and Tomb Raider, Hitman was .........erm......different.

This and the Halo movie might be crackin' though :)

may i ask why are there demons in this movie it started out nice with the voice over and and dark gritty detective style but then DEMONS whyyyy??

The Halo movie was cancelled. The game studio did not agree with the changes hollywood wanted to make in the story. No hollywood movie is ever complete without a love story, or unheard of amounts of testosterone and that just doesn't fit in Halo.

As for max payne, I loved the story in the first, I also hope we'll see one of those nightmares again, they freaked the crap out of me. I didn't like the second as much, probably because there was, again, a "badass" woman and a love story involved whereas Max Payne 1 was just revenge ;)

Like what they did with Hitman, Hitman is a cold-blooded assassin, not a charming gentleman like he is in the movie. In the movie, the cold-heartedness needed to be "fixed" and thus, in the end of the movie you get to see a glimpse of affection or even love for the woman that had irritated me throughout the movie.

It looks pretty awesome,as long as they keep it artistic and somewhat deep and not pull out a bag of cliches movies like this tend to have,it should be interesting.Anyway,it actually looks promissing for a movie made after a game,as these usually tend to be just average movies.If it lives up to its trailer,i'll be impressed.I'll try to ignore some cliches in the trailer,but anyways,I'll be watching several times till the movie comes out :D

LE:As dudeman has already said,those demons are definetely his nightmares,i'm glad they're keeping the dreams and darkness from the games,i remember there were actually some levels in the games where you were playing during those dreams.

The mood is great but c´mon! Mark Whalberg? not even close! is almost as bad as Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider... :(
