the other day i went to the bank and i wrote 2009 as the year on the date field.

After working everyday with autodesk apps im starting to unconsciously believe its actually 2009. we love new releases but the new "year taggin technique" seems rather contusing sometimes.. especially with 3dsmax 9 and 3dsmax 2009

It appears that Motionbuilder has dropped support for the Mac. The Motionbuilder release docs mention only Windows, despite Maya still listing Mac OSX in its release doc.

After the travesty that was Maya 2008, I hope they've addressed all the crippling bugs.

Still looking at the feature set, I'm pretty disappointed. Half of what they list as new was part of 2008 extension 2's feature set. Stuff that is new like UV unfolding should have been standard long ago.

Really glad to hear they're working on the render layer management system though. Hope the render presets will actually work on everything this time, including hair and paintfx. What a major pain in the ass that has been to work around.
