Hello every

I am new to these forums and I really liking it. I am studying animation and games at Deltion College in the Netherlands. I am currently in the third year and are about to do internship at a company (or however you say that in english). Ofcourse you need a portofolio so show your skills. I am really intrested in the Games industry i want to do intren and a gamestudio.

But i have a bitt of a problem. There is alott of Cool stuff in the CG world that i al find ehh cool :P. But the industry is wide and i think (correct me if I am wrong) that not all skill are needed for each part of the industry. For example (hope its good one): you probbaly dont need to know so much stuff about rendering in Vray if you are working in the games industry.

So I was wondering if any of you 3Dtotal users are working/active in the Games industry could tell me what kind of skill you need the games industry, or what software knowlegde ect.

You could post it her or you can mail me at: misterer@gmail.com if u prefer that.

Would really appreciate any information i could get, so I can narrow down my skills a bitt.

Thanks alott

ps. Sorry for bad english

What thing you could do that would help is to check out company websites such as blizzard entertainment and others. Check out the employment section and it lists the essential skills required.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I have one term left at my school and I have put more emphasis into 2d art and less in 3d modeling.

I'd definitely work on spelling and grammar if you are going to be writing to employers. Have other people more proficient in English read it.
