Hi everybody! I'm new here, bought in by several long hours worth of searching.

I'm looking for a 3d model of a medieval knight. I just want the helmet. Does anyone know where I could get a free one? Thanks. ;)

try modelling it!

It would take too long and I'm not very good at it yet. Those are two reasons why I'm looking for one. ;)

Downloading a model isnt gonna help you get any better.

Modeling it yourself can only give you more skill and practice. ;)

*sigh*

I don't really have the time to devote to it...

try having a look on turbosquid - you may find a free or cheap one you can use.

Thanks, Andy. I already tried there. Their knight models are quite pricey. :(

TyKeiL, I'm not entirely sure on exactly what type of helmet, but I was looking for either a bellows visor helmet, a maxamillian style hemet, a burgonet helmet, or a sallet helmet.

just model it, the only advise i can give you. That way it will look exactly how you want it to. Plus you will become a better modeler. Practice makes [almost] perfect.

I wouldn't even know where to begin from scratch with something that complicated.

just as you dont try and copyright it as yours or anything

Thanks for the offer, TyKeiL, but I don't want you to do all that work just for me.

so. let me just see if I fully understand what is going on here

1, someone asks for a model

2, someone suggests he models it himself

3, he hasn't got the time to do the model himself

4, someone offers to do the model for him

5, he says no thanks

so, the point of this thread seems to be that the person who originally asked for the model of the knights helmet doesn't actually want it when someone offers to make him one.

Tykeil, if I were you and you had the time I would do the model anyway and post it for sale on Turbosquid

Forceflow - I really don't know what advice to offer you
