3ds Max, After Effects - Composition help

Hi,

I'm kinda stuck in a bit of a mess,
i have this really shaky handy cam footage into which i need to composite something moving... my problem is that i have no idea how or where to begin.

the footage is not stationary, it's a guy looking around with the camera.

whereas i know how to model and animate, i don't have much experience with compositing and motion tracking... so any kind of help would be appreciated. thanks :)

Try looking into good camera tracking software, like Boujou or PFTrack. 3dsmax has camera tracking incorporated, but it just gives me headaches and I don't recommend it.
