Hello everyone,
This is my finished demo reel from the school I graduated. I am a character animator, and I would like some critiques/suggestions on the timing and pacing of the characters. Thanx

Hi psybah.
Nice work, i like it. The voices are good, it give life.
For the animation, i've found a problem with andy (?), the blue one, when he play with his hands, they bend, but don't touch each other. Maybe Igor (the yelow) is too much sequenced (robotic) at the begining. When the little girl put finger in nose, it feel that she don't touch the inside, always in movement, no blocking finger, no deformation.
WWell, I really like andy (the blue), he's so nervous, very good facial animation.
Well, i think you made good job, just need some more works to be perfect. Then, I think you're better in facial animation than in body animation. Just my opinion...
Anyway, continue, and give us lots of animations !

wow! thanx zoo-prod for that critique : )
I agreed with everything you had to say... It was my first facial/body animation, so it was a good learning experience. I am glad that you noticed the subtle difference between the Igor sequences and the other characters. I say this because I did the Igor sequences first. By the time I did the others, I had a better feel for movement and timing.

No problem man !
I think it's a good work for a first project. really.
I hope you'll make a new project soon. Try to animate leg too. That's not easy and that's essential when you want to become an animator (I think).
Anyway, i'm at your service if you need help to learn animation or to give my opinion for an animated work.
Bye

No, I did not graduate from full sail. I graduated last December from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. I have friends that are going/have graduated from full sail.
zoo: Yo, thanx for the offer. If you check out the website, there are a few more animations there you can take a look at.
