Aveara - A World Beyond Myst

Atlas-Image has acquired legal permission from Cyanworlds, Inc. to write a third party novel to be featured on our own professionally-designed Aveara website (in progress). Along with the richly developed story, there will be many still-images to illustrate every scene in the adventure. Actors will be digitally integrated into the images. Multiple paths, multiple endings. Multiple explorations of the story of AVEARA - A WORLD BEYOND MYST.

If anyone would be interested in working on this project, you are more than welcome to submit a portfolio site or a sample image of your work. Because of obvious legal reasons, this is a non-commercial project, so you would be doing this out of your own interest. Once this project is completed, Cyanworlds Inc. is going to link to our Aveara website from their corporate website. Thousands upon thousands of Myst-fans will experience this project. That means thousands upon thousands will be exposed to your work, which will receive full credit and a link to your website. Aveara is currently in Pre-Production, so there's still time to join the team!

We're looking for 3D artists who can model and render. We're also looking for concept artists!!

Any idea how I can get in touch with the artist David Rossmann? He's posted several images in the scenes gallery on 3Dtotal, but he has never left his e-mail or URL. I am very interested in either recruiting him for the Aveara project.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the official AVEARA website was purchased and set up today. However, it will take 24 hours to propagate to the world wide web. Tomorrow you will be able to visit the Aveara website! I'll let you know as soon as it's up!

We've currently recruited a total of eight CG artists from Threedy and/or the 3Dtotal galleries. Thanks Tom!

This looks very good. I have yet to play Myst, but would love to try them out, as I've heard they are very good games. I'm hooked on Black & White (http://www.bwgame.com) at the moment myself ...

The Aveara website has been updated with a new desktop teaser image! We're also getting tons of hits and fan e-mail! This is great!

We are still looking for more/better 3D artists. Some artists that have joined the team are just too busy to contribute anything, so we are still open for more help.

Basic requirements are a good portfolio and the time and interest to work on this Myst fan-project. The target date for release may be revoked (currently August 1st) so that we have unlimited time and can better work at our own pace.

This project has been demanding, but it is an incredible amount of fun!!! :D
