View Full Version : I need help with the creation of an interior atmostphere

I would like to make a kind of dusty atmosphere inside a room I'm currently working on. I want it to be similar to the one seen in the first Diablo 2 Cinematic. There are little dust particles flying around and it is a little cloudy from bright sunlight. It sets a good tone of history that I really like. So any advice would be grately appreciated.

Well, first, you need to tell us what application you are using. I'm assuming you are using 3DS Max.
For the cloudy light look, use Volumetric Lighting. For the dust floating around, you could model a dust particle, and then use a Particle Array System to make it float. Search the Help for "Volumetric Lighting" and for "Particle Array" to find out more, as I haven't needed to use them much yet, and the Help would be able to explain more than I.
You could also search Google with those same keywords.
