View Full Version : Logitech Z-5500 Speaker System
Hey all,
Finally managed to get the first front render finished :haha:
I hope you like it!!! I'm finally happy with it! :)
Theres a 1680x1050 version here:
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/cf_kage/FinalFront1680corrected.jpg
and a double size (original render size) at 3360x2100 here:
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/cf_kage/th_Finalfrontfullcorrected.jpg (http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/cf_kage/?action=view¤t=Finalfrontfullcorrected.jpg)
I'm now rendering out a back render, where a lot of the detail also lies, which will be up here, in the next few days.
Thanks everyone for the help in my WIP section in this forum:
http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=58377
All comments were greatly appreciated, and I hope to have another project up there shortly
Thanks again! :D

(EDIT 4 :p Corrected the Surround to Digital)

too much glow on the LED display, but other than that it could easily be a photo.
Your work has payed off,it pretty much looks perfect.
Thanks brentagain for your kind words :)
I've edited the image to lower the glow amount. I hope this works better :D

Fantastic Work. I have the set myself, and the the only real difference I see is the LED at the power button is brighter. So if you would . More light at the power LED (more dark blue) its like the real deal.
Goodluck!
Okay, corrected that I hope now too :)
I think its definetly done now :p
The render for the back is coming along nicely so far :)
Very awesome man, materials and models look spot on.
Just remember to speed up your next project a bit ;p

Wow Kage, that is really impressive! I'm afraid you'll be contacted by Logitech to work on their next project of high-end speakers ^^ Great work!

Well done dude, great to see it finished in all of it's glory!
I'd plug it up if I hadn't done so already!

Fantastic final Kage!
Especially the quality in highres is simply stunning.
I think it's really worth the plug, so maybe another mod than tom can do it?
When I would have to give you critique anyway,
you should change the blue/gree color of the display to a more decent nearly white blue tone.
But it's not that important. :)
Hope to see your next project up, soon!!

:D Haha, yeah right, but you know, a bit of work wouldn't be bad, since this project was just for fun!

:) Thanks man. Yeah, I wouldn't expect it to be put up twice in a row anyway! ;P

Thanks :shy: Another plug though would have been a bit too much though, hehe, but he can surely plug up my next project if he wants lol.
Yeah, I've looked at the display, and while editing, I did modify it a bit, because the light in my room matched, but, in certain lighting conditions, it looks a lot darker

Thank you :D Wouldn't know about sending it to logitech though. They'd probably get annoyed wouldn't they? :ufo:
I bet they are working on another secret product though to beat the Z-5500. There must be a sucessor somewhere along the line.
Very awesome work
Thanks :)
On CGTalk, it has recieved 3 stars, and 3 replies, lol! The WIP there got 5 stars, but of course, I was showing a lot more detail off, which is why I plan to show a back render very soon as soon as I've finished processing it, as I always thought it would have been a shame to render one view and say its finished, when all that work is basically wasted until I do something else with them.

Product vis and arch vis never gets the love over on CGTalk. I hardly ever post over there anymore.

Nice modeling and texturing technics. Your efforts on this one is priceless. I loved the whole image, yet you could enhance the lighting or use some contrast.
Hey,
Bubbaloo, its still worth posting there, but just not to expect much.
Thanks also nacho_grande :)
I understand that the image will look different on some monitors, and so, I have to be aware of that while editing the image, which is a shame :(
Never the less, I have finished the back portion of the image:

The full render can be seen here:

Hope you like it :)
This project is now finished, unless I decide to do spins of each individual piece for a portfolio :D
(EDIT 2: Corrected Surround to Digital)

Perfect.
Thanks you two :)
I'm moving onto my next project now, which I'm hoping won't take as long. I tend to get too into a project though, that I don't want to leave it... an attachment as you will.
I'm working on the Xbox 360, re-modelling the controller I started a while back, which is in progress, and then the 360 itself.
Meanwhile, I'll also be starting my first Archetectual type model, which will be to model a portion of the Trafford Centre, which will be another long term one. Theres a WIP thread here about it:
http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=61579
So, I'll be seeing you back in the WIP section I hope at some point :D
Looks fantastic, congrats on finishing :)

Kage - Wow man beautifully done, i'm so glad you finally got there and got to this stage and level of realism aswell.
Gorgeous front and rear renders, an excellent eye and attention to detailing.
Wonderful work
CG.
Thanks guys :)
I've noticed a bit of a problem just now after looking at my image for a few minutes, and then the real set...
I don't know if I should mention it, haha...
Well, it says Dolby Surround Pro Logic II, and in actual fact, its Dolby Digital Pro Logic II, and I never noticed it.
I should probably correct it...mm...noooooooooo  haha
