Speed Painting Challenge no. 88

Topic: Facial Expression

Idea: Should be easy enough. With all the different expressions a face can create, you only have to do one. The only thing is, the viewer should be able to tell what the feeling behind the expression is. Happy, sad, mad, constipated, pick the one that means the most to you and have fun with it.

Deadline: 11:59 pm (GMT) Sunday February 8th (use the time zone thread to make sure your done in time)

Prizes: (must be at least 6 entries)
Winner gets to choose one of the following options:
- 6-month subscription to the 2DCreative magazine
- 6-month subscription to the 3DCreative magazine

Rules:

- Any medium is allowed, as long as it can be put into digital form - scanned, photographed, etc.

- Since it's a speed painting, it should be finished in the smallest amount of time possible, but if you paint a whole day, you won't get disqualified . But for example, 4 days is too much

- IF YOU PAINT MULTIPLE ENTRIES, YOU NEED TO STATE BEFORE THE DEADLINE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST. IF NOT – I’LL DO IT FOR YOU
- References can be used - 3D or photograph, BUT you can't paint over them. It has to be your own painting.

Custom brushes can be used, but to some extent - they can't be pre-made parts of the future painting, like a whole tree, brush, cloud, an explosion, lighting... you get the point. They can be - a couple of leaves, a couple of grass blades

There will be a Final Entry Thread for you to post your work in

Heh. I either got that and it was funny, or I totally missed the point of your comment but somehow managed to get a punch line out of it.

In any case, I had a good time coming up with my entry for the last one, I think I'll participate in this one as well. What expression though? Hmm? Half the fun is imagining the possibilities.

The last 3 challenges weren't so inventive as i hoped. Hope the next one will be a more original topic. So i can participate with a smile ....:)

I thought this would be a good exercise for me to work on my faces so i started sketching right away. This one's going to stay just a pencil drawing. Here's where I am after 50min.

Feel free to suggest topics for future Speed Painting challenges - I'm sure BigToe will be happy to hear and consider them :)

tjerkotten: if you don't like the ideas in the idea thread, just add new ones. There is no limit to how many ideas you can toss out there.

If this last challenge does bad, there may not be another one.

I'm working on this one. I have the fealing that I should paint somthin more in it and I should work more on the face... but I don't have an idea what to do. Maybe I'll post this as a final image...
