Hi guys, congrats to all of you for those great sculpts ;)
Ok Here is mine, based on the giant worms from king kong. Hope you like it
The Story:
When I was three or four years old my uncle always came to visit me and my parents. For some reason I was so afraid of him, it was something in his smile that really freaked me out. I remember he used to picked me up in the air and smile at me at really close distance to my face. I was soooo scared, that I even couldn't cry, I used to have nightmares about that smile. I never told my parents because I remember, I didn't want to get in trouble.
Don't get me wrong though, he is a really nice guy, but its just that smile man....
Now I am 22 years old and even now, when we talk and he looks at me straight in the eyes and smile, I still get the shivers, really crazy.
When I think about that now, I have no idea what his kids went through....Hehe

Here is my final submisson. This was my first challenge! I had a lot of fun and it was a great creative exercise.
------------Life & Death------------
We all fear uncertainty at one point in our life. The fear of the unknown is something that haunts my mind constantly. That fear is sometime what the future will hold, or what goes after life, if anything at all. I am not a religious person, so I do not believe in an after life, I think that is too simple an excuse. This sculpt is meant to represent a combination of that fear, binding the concepts of time and death into one sculpture.

For all of us afraid of spiders, the concept of a giant spider is scary enough. However, the idea of potentially becoming lunch for such a spider makes it even more horrifying. 5 approx. Hours to complete. All I know is this project creeped me out!

Hi,
The fear of removing the perfect ‘mask(s)’ we put on everyday to make others perceive us... the way we want them to…i.e. fear of showing who we really are…
-i did 5mins short work on the ear and the back of the head-
so 4hours 5 mins
thanx for looking :)

This is sort of a culmination of all my fears, the big ones anyways. The obvious one is old age, but really it is supposed to signify the future, the unknown, or even of the darkness. Add in the blind fold and the fear of the unknown is more apparent. But most importantly, I have a fear of blindness. Obviously you can get through life totally fine blind, but as an aspiring artist with poor vision, it's something that is always looming over my head.
Mre - very creepy, isn't that how merlin died?
JuanPuerta - I feel bad for the guy that DOESN'T get eaten head first...
mdale13 - very impressive, the attention to detail is really nice!
Great job everybody! This was really difficult to pull so much out of a cube.....
