Hi All,

We have added a new award to the collection, its a golden 'thumbs up!' it will be issued for anyone who does a great job in helping out, the first one has been issued already to Kirgan for creating his topology thread.

Does anyone want to nominate anyone else for one of these? If so please post who and why in this thread!

Many thanks

Hi there, what a great idea - such a thing was missing here. Does it "only" count for thread help and guidance in others threads, or can we suggest this one also for tutorials. i´m asking cause i was blown away by this inspiring tutorial of mr. bluesummers - "particles". i ratetd it with 5 stars, but that award would be the right honor.

agree with psycho mantis and sharpo: sathe and bluesummers
also would like to nominate poopipe and Perversonality because they give decent advice in the help sections. ... and honki, though he isnt that active right now he also helped me and others very much for a long period (also great tutorials). ... and also ClassicGamer for all his longtime, friendly and usefull analysis in the speed model sections... and ... thats enough from me for today :)

I think buzzy should also get one for sharing his realtime shader, and I second poopipe (and add freddy) because they always seem to be posting advice in the help sections.

Edit: Also Darthwayne for all the mudbox tuts, and bluesummers for his tutorials.

BigToe 3dt: for keeping about twenty people busy with great projects and answering the questions. Thank you.
Warlock 279: for flat out great criticisms on everyones work. Thanks...again.
poopipe: I guess I'm not the only one who's noticed that he's answering a lot of questions in the help sections. Thanks go to you.
The people running the site. Because everything that I have learned, in one way or another, has come from here. Thank you all, and...
BIG THUMBS UP!

Ok great list so far all very deservedly, so far we have;

mr. bluesummers
sathe
poopipe
Perversonality
honki
ClassicGamer
Marty
Freespace
Big Toe
Darthwayne
Freddy
Warlock 279
Buzzy

I'll hand all of these out later. In the meantime I think this thread should be made sticky and stay open indefinitely for recommendations. You can recommend people again also even if they have the award already, so with every good deed they will get another one.

Cheers

Tom

Congrats to everyone's golden thumbs! Can I nominate Sandifer please, as he helped me out a HUGE amount when I first started helping with the Speed Sculpting challenges; explaining all ZBrushy things to me and assisting with base mesh questions and creations - all totally out of kindness! So it would be super cool if he could be given a thumbs up. Fanks! :)

yeah its a new thing, we are still perfecting it! We will make an announcement when it's ready in a day or so, but it's fine to thank people for their posts in the meantime and test it out.

Actually we may connect it to the award too....

I'd like to nominate rocneasta. He's been helping me since I came to these forums, yet he never grumbled about it, but told me to continue. I really think he deserves it.
