hi,
this is my entry for a brazilian contest based in characters from the 80´s animation television. I choose the SLITHE from thundercats.I have great fun to bring that character to life.
Work about 2 moth in my spare time. I focus a lot in the high sculpture inside zbrush, before start the contest i have the great chance to have some class with the master Alex Olivier . I try to put a lot what i learn and continue to study a long the process .
Normal/ao/Cavity maps bake in Xnormal(awesome program), texture painted in photoshop. ScanLine render 3d Max, 4 points of lights of low poly model : 9.886 triangles / 5 textures (2048).
Later i post some wip...

hope u guys like it

See I don't see why this thread hasn't been plugged on the front page. It's good enough.

Low-poly is so unnoticed and under appreciated.

Really like the skin on this model. Realistic in some way :). The head seems to be a bit static though in the 'attack' animation.

Fantastic job. Looks just like the cartoon character in 3D. A lot of times 2d Characters in 3d look just weird but you got it spot on. Congrats
