Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing our new eBook and i'm sorry that you are having problems downloading the videos. If you drop me an email at chrisp@3dtotal.com i will look into finding a way to get these movies to you. The reason why the movies are such a big file size is down to the size and quality of the movies (and they are rather long to). I can either reduce the dimensions of the movies making them smaller or i can try and split them up so you can download them individually. Please in your email, tell me which one you would prefer :)
Thanks again

Thanks for your response to my email.. i have also received an email from lynette.. i have to say that i am really impressed by the level of response i have received for this problem..
I have finally downloaded the file, it took from friday to sunday and 12 attempts to get it down.. but i moved my computer so that it is basically sat ontop of my hub to boost my signal and turned off all my firewalls.. but i got there..
What i suggestted to lynette was that perhaps in the pdf file you put link up to download each movie file individually rather than all in one bulk.. i wouldn't suggest down grading the quality of the product as that might cause other people to review it badly..
I have also mentioned that i will write another review of the product and the level of service that i have received.. to show my appreciation..
Thanks
Neil

Thanks for your kindness and support Neil, we would love that review - every little helps (wow, I sound like an Asda advert ;))! I'll chat to Chris in the office tomorrow about splitting the movies up - sounds like a great idea to me :)
On another note (referring to your first post), I'm afraid we can't share the author of this tutorial publicly, but any questions or problems we can deal with at 3DTotal - and we can email the author of the tutorials should there be anything specific we can't help with ourselves :)

Thats not a problem.. if you have noticed i have already wrote another review of the tutorial..
The tutorials i have either bought or got of your free sections have helped me improve my skills buy loads.. so hopefully your keep them coming.. perhaps a possible suggestion would be for this guy to take one of those other monsters and show how he would build them into a full character rather than a just the head and shoulders...
I already own the bugatti, female warrior, tuc-tuc and the environment tutorials. and all have been brilliant.. with any luck these zbrush tutorials will show me enough so that i can start taking part in the sculpt challenges..

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the reviews, we really do appreciate all feedback - even the bad ones, as it gives us an opportunity to improve (although good reviews are nice, too :D)
I'm really pleased you've found the tutorial eBooks useful so far, there will certainly be more to come over this next year, so do keep an eye out for future releases. We'll have another Zbrush one later this year, but that will not be a full body workshop. We'll keep in mind full body monster sculpts for a future series. *writes it down so as not to forget* In fact, we're just discussing our next ZBrush tutorial series so this is certainly one for the cards! :)
All tutorial suggestions are very welcome Neil, you have my email so feel free to get in touch. I hope you continue to enjoy our products. Thanks for your support!
Looking forward to seeing you in the Speed Sculpting challenges :) All the best!

Hi Neil, sorry to hear about this, I'll get one of the team to check all the movie files today to see whether the original files are corrupted or whether it's something that occurred on upload/download. Sorry for the incovenience - your sculpt is looking great by the way!

yeah thanks for that.. hopefully it was just that it corrupted during the dowload or something.. and will be a simple problem to fix..

Hi Neil, I've been told that this issue could be down to the player you are using. I've been advised that if you use the Windows Media Player then the movies should run fine, and not zig around - apparently some players can cause the movies to zig around. Let me know if this helps or not Neil and we'll look into it further if this doesn't do the trick. All the best!

yeah that is weird as i have loaded up the windows media.. but get nothing. tells me no codec or something.. then i use the VLC players.. the other player that was the shop linked to.. and i get an image is just jumps around.. i'm trying to download the codecs for the windows media. but not usre what to get..
I have however started again and tried to build the model without the use of tutorials to see how much stayed in my memory.. so far so good..
hoepfully we can sort out whats going on with this part two.. as i wouldn't mind seeing how the thing finishes..
cheers

don't panic, i'll get back to my colleague who can hopefully get to the bottom of this and we can send you a fresh download link. sorry for the problems - on the plus side, I'm glad the tutorial itself is working out for you :)

Hi Neil,
I'm not sure what codec i have installed for my media play so i cant advise which one to get. What i have done though is tried out a divx player - http://www.divx.com/ - and download their player and the movie played fine in this. Give this a whirl and see if this fixes the problem.
