View Full Version : IK Limb Solver Issue

Hey everyone,

I have a character with IK Limb Solvers on the arms and legs. There is a custom bone system in the character also with a main core that all of the bones are linked too and the character is skinned with a run animation applied to it. I need to have the character path contrained to a circular spline while having the run animation applied.

First off, I am unable to rotate the character 90 degrees without the animation distorting.


Second, I when I add a path constraint from the iks and core to the spline the Ik's attach to the spline and cause the model to distort. I tried using relative but this causes the IKs to still not follow the character correctly.

I appreciate all help.

It sounds like you just need to link your main bone(hip w/e) and the end of your IK chains up to a dummy helper. If you post your schematic it would be easier to tell what you need to link to what.

ok i tried that and it causes the animation to distort and im not quite sure what you mean by the schematic.
