Okay, so I am currently in Oregon and forgot my concepts back in the Bay Area, so I'll have to post those later. I am doing a Stalker class of the Norm race. This is her steed; an Actias Luna Moth. I still have some work to do on it, obviously, but so far it isabout 2500 tris. I hope to post up the concepts by monday.

Ok, so I know I'm not very far, but I'm further than my thread portrays! Here is some concept work that I have for my character. I have started modeling her. Her face is still in development, so she won't look so much like a man! Any comments are appreciated.

So here she is thus far. I still need to come up with a name for her. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Pretty stylised design. The shins look a bit short, though.

Cool start. Your idea is unique :) I like the stylised look as well. You can probably stand to shed quite a few polys from the moth if you need them for character details later on. Keep up the good work.

I finally named her! Momentous occasion! Thank you to those who have commented on her so far. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my work. Here is the most recent update. I am almost out of ZBrush and into the final texturing stage. yay! Please tell me what you think.

So I am working on the color map right now. Here is the color map in it's first pass, along with a glow map. She doesn't have a spec map yet, and I'm still working on the moth. My awesome classmates helped me come up with a great idea for my base so I'm going to start that soon too. Almost done... With this and with school! Yeah for an extension!

Boy am I glad we have an extension! I'm happy with my progress, but I still want to work on the textures. I haven't lit her yet, so this is still very basic. I plan on adjusting the shaders as well so as to make the subtle parts of her outfit show up better from a distance. Anyone know if she has to actually be touching the base? Any suggestions for the textures and a way to plus the base? Comments? Please let me know what you think!
Looks good so far. But make sure the colour of the clothes don't hide all the detail... so perhaps it might look better if it's not that dark.

So, I have a terrible habbit of not attaching required images. I do it with email all of the time, and I did it again here!

I think he needs more contrast in his colors. Everything seems to be really unsaturated and I think that hurts how effectively you sculpted him. Watch out with having to much black as his main palette, can conceal a lot of the hard work you put in during the sculpting phase.
