Has anybody seen the new modelling tools in max 2010!?

looks like it would save HUUGE amounts of time, some very handy tools there.

Is this just polyboost implemented into max?? Iv never used polyboost, nor have i ever looked at its features. Are all the new features in max2010 available now in PB??

Well yes and no, it is polyboost, but it has been enhanced for better performance and new tools were added.

I'm pretty happy with this release so far, and some of the other features, especially the improvements to final gather are going to make things much easier for me.

I dont care what new features they put in 2010 as long as they fix the undo.

Don't like the 'Office 2007-UI' though.

Other Real-time rendering, and Mental Ray videos are awesome too.

Oh Gods, they've redone the selection system. All hail!

Ambient occlusion in the viewport is awesome.

I've just scratched the surface of Graphite, still need to explore it.

There's already a hotfix out, that speeds up Final Gather a LOT.

Shame they pulled off the 64bit version of the trial.

Robbert - Yeah I was amazed when I saw the flow tools, cant believe that they have been available for ages with polyboost though! I knew I should have done more with that trial! Also, i quite like the look of the new ui, though i havent used it so I dont know if its practical, I did like it in Autocad2009 however and imagine it would be the same.

Freespace - Yeah the viewport shading is AWSOME, though I would imagine you would want a mighty graphics card!

Poopipe - totally agree with the undo, god that is the most annoying thing about max. Its rubbish.

I will definitely test the trial when I get some more skills with Max 2009 ;)

Can anyone give me a link to download the trial?
Really want to give this new version a try.
Been looking on all the Autodesk sites but can only find the 2009 trial for download.

new trial 32bit is avail now. However 3 dl attempts 3 corrupt files.

i got it alright this morning - it started, it looks funny and I have 25% less screen space than under 2009

havent done anything with it yet though :)
