Hello everyone, my entry to Dominance War IV. At the moment I'm working on the low res mesh, but for now here is the last concept so far. Comments and ideas are welcome.

Name him Humpty Dumpty because that is what the face/head reminds me of.

I think I'm done with the sculpting by now. I still need to model a gun that will be held in the normal hand, but now its time to make the low poly mesh.

The high poly sculpt is looking great... maybe some more detail to
his back though.

Ok guys we're close to the end ;P. Here's my progress, at the moment I'm working on the diffuse, I'll try to post it later.
btw... I'm planning to render the final image with vray, can anyone confirm me if its possible to use effects like sss skin or an HDRI for lighting? please I'm a bit lost in this matter since there is not a lot of info... thank you!

This is looking really good! That face is so creepy (in a good way!)
I think you could use some more surface detail, but that can all be added with the nVidia filter later, no need to resculpt.

EEK nightmares. you certainly have a enemy morale breaking and fear inflicting menace here. Good job.
i would make one of his arm a slicing device. just to go with all his creepiness. very cool still.

Thanks for the comments guys! Buzzy dude you should finish your model it really looks promising, and yeah I plan to use crazybump later for the normal detail, after I finish the diffuse. In fact ryvick I was thinking when modeling the weapon to put a kind of chainsaw on it, but I dropped the idea, didnt want it to look so gears of warish ;P

Nice model, got a nice clean normal map off that, just needs texture and final pose. Get some quick color composition stuff up there.
Also I mostly just browsed your images, but i didn't notice any final name ideas for this guy, I'm bad with names too, but getting a finallazed name might help with refining what the end texture should look like.
Only critique is that the spine is looking a little flat, but you can probably bring that back out with the specular map.
Wow, what a mean grin he has. Looks pretty cool.

no sorry i dont like it. u have really cool textures but its soo monotone. have the skin a different color, have the metal a seperate color then the blood splats of his fallen enemy on him.

Hey guys thanks for the comments! I have been working a bit more on the texture and now I'm with the pedestal and the pose. This is just a first version for the pedestal, I think I need to put a little bit more work on it... any ideas?

creeptastic, I completely missed this thread, and now i am sad for it. I love this style of work, almost Dead Space feeling with a touch of Quake 4 and Silent Hill, very very nice.
and now, beer, lots and lots of beer.

This is great. Now I know people should have listened to me when I said we needed thumbnails for these threads. Amongst the hustle and bustle of the war I totally overlooked this one. And it's easily one of the most arresting entries I've seen. Fantastically creepy. Great job! 5 fu**ing stars.
