I Kinda like the first Image, But I'm loving the concept of the second one. It's more of a "Hot and Cold" concept... like hells gates is as cold as ice but burning below it...

hey! Thanks man... yeah... I kinda like the first one... I just feel that it was done before... so I was looking for more alternatives... so more or less, that will be my fallback concept just in case I don't get a good one by the end of the week...

teh first one looks good but this idea is done before by some others! Everybody sometimes drawn a tower with spikes out of stone and ..

The last one is great, a withering cathedral is always good for hellish pics :)

yes I know, and kudos for that. The difference is he's having total freedom with prizes, ways of advertising, forum layout, community, etc. whereas I am just a moderator, all I can do is make the theme and keep everything in order :) Maybe we can somehow unite these 2 challenges...

But let's not get offtopic :)

You know as i know that it's not about prizes, also i don't believe it's way of advertising(i found out about that forum by pure accident), maybe forum layout and community. Combining these challenges (cgtalk, 3dtotal, cgtantra and oders) into one would be great idea.

hey guys... haha, this thread is getting better and better each time (comment wise).

To be honest though, activity on that site seems quite active. I tried to harass (lol) people here to talk but... I dunno seems pretty quiet. Don't worry, this site will RISE again! I don't know how, I don't know when.. but being prophetic might just work :D

Combining challenges might just work... and that would most likely create some much needed traffic... but being advertised on the front page would also be a huge boost. To an extent, the prizes here is much more desirable... Probably also because this challenge is overshadowed by tons of different challenges on this site... and I mean lot!

Oh well, I'm still committed regardless. :)

I can't even imagine to hurt your feelings (not even in my dreams)! It's simply because, I love the art of Digital Matte Painting very very much, and wished to make this beautiful art form as popular as possible and provide a platform for the aspiring artists to showcase their matte-painting skills through these Challenges!

What? Advice from me, Mateja! Thanks very much for the complements! But, I guess, I'm a novice when compared with a pro like that of Tiberius Viris (Suirebit)! He knows the VFX industry from inside-out! But, I guess, I'm trying my level best to occupy a small space in the galaxy of the extreeeeeeeemely talented VFX artists!

Thank you very much for the complements! :) Well, I too am just a Moderator! I was given complete control of moderating the CGTantra Digital Matte Painting Challenges forum only! I do not have any control over other forums on CGTantra!

Sure! Why not! We can surely look forward to uniting these two Challenges in the near future, for the benefit of the contestants (which is the ultimate aim)!
