Speed Painting Challenge no. 93

Topic: Scene From A Movie

Idea: Everybody has a favorite movie and in this movie, there is at least one scene that stands out to them. This one scene, the scene you sit around talking about with your friends that makes the whole movie worth watching. But, maybe there is one thing you would lie to see changed. It could be the lighting, the characters, or even the camera angle.

You get to take a scene from a movie and fix it. Make it what you think it should be. Or, you can leave it just the way it is. Artistic freedom for everyone.

Deadline: 11:59 pm (GMT) Sunday May 31st(use the time zone thread to make sure your done in time)

Rules:

- Any medium is allowed, as long as it can be put into digital form - scanned, photographed, etc.

- Since it's a speed painting, it should be finished in the smallest amount of time possible, but if you paint a whole day, you won't get disqualified. But for example, 4 days is too much

- IF YOU PAINT MULTIPLE ENTRIES, YOU NEED TO STATE BEFORE THE DEADLINE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST. IF NOT – I’LL DO IT FOR YOU
- References can be used - 3D or photograph, BUT you can't paint over them. It has to be your own painting.

Custom brushes can be used, but to some extent - they can't be pre-made parts of the future painting, like a whole tree, brush, cloud, an explosion, lighting... you get the point. They can be - a couple of leaves, a couple of grass blades

I guess I'll get this party started. :haha::haha::haha:

OK, I was going to do "The Matrix Revolution" or "Lord of the Ring", but my little girl insest I do "Finding Nemo" ( I know we where supposed to do our fave scene). I did it in prisma color pencil in about 1 hour and 30 Min's and did a 5 Min's color correction in 5 Min's ( just darken it a little... when i scanned it, it lighting it a lot).. I hope you like...:halo:

i wanted to recreate mikey's skateboarding sequence from the 2007 TMNT, but whn i pause the scenes are too blurry.
ill thinkof another movie.

to tell the truth i have had many failed attempts at this challenge i was trying to do the scene in mullholand drive the silenco concert where the girl is singing crying but i just cant get the angles to look natural :(

so im changing my movie to something else i am thinking preditor when he walks passed Arnie :)
that or the scene from rocky 3 at the end when apolo and rocky hit each other and the screen turns to the painting :)

hi guys and girls, sory i didn't visit you but i was far far far far far far far far far far away :) like chowder(one of my favorite cartoon characters) :)), so what i would like to make for this challenge is something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHKTE75dgE4), combined with harry potter
(hope bigtoe don't beat me for posting youtube stuff :D )

btw. nice work M_cedestrom, cute fish and old school drawing, reminds me of old times when i didn't had a graphic tablet, and drawing at school instead of writing the stuff theachers where babling there :)

Hi guys and girls here is my first entry :crazy:
So the story begins when Peter Griffin (Family guy) goes to doctor for a prostate exam ( click here to watch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHKTE75dgE4) ) and he gets real scared because the doctor poke him in the bottom, so he run away real scared, and he run's far far far far far far faaar far farrr far faaarrr farr away... yeah realy far so he end up in one of my favorite movie and cause an mass chaos, making Harry Potter shoot Dumbledore ice cream instead of Voldemort, the bad guy Voldemort goes realy nervous at the view of naked Peter running with a glove sticked in his ass, but that's not all, the mistery is when Peter gonna stop running? wich movie scene will it screw up?... stay tuned because i may have a second entry :D muhahahaha, jk

Making of: about 7 hours in Photoshop with my cheap Aiptek tablet ;)

Hi to all, very nice drawings JB (very funny entry :) ) and rezahadilesmana, i'd like to joyn the competition but i don't have much time because i have exams allmost daily...
I'll try to make my entry until deadline, the movies i chose are: Corpse Bride, Pan's Labyrinth, Castle in the Sky or Whisper of the Heart (my favorite movies) :o

Castle in the Sky was awesome. Miyazaki movies always have a lot of great shots. I had considered putting together a Porco Rosso entry. I'm working on something else now. I hope I make the deadline.

@J.B : hohoho... sorry. Yeah, i think it's not a popular movie, especially in my hometown. If it's not written by Neil Gaiman, i think i wouldn't interested in this movie. but i recommend it to u to watch it, it's a great surreal theme movie

From the short time i have i finaly made one entry :) i have been inspired from Pan's Labyrinth and a little from Corpse Bride (the grundge look) i've changed the girl's look by my style, with long dark hair... hihihi

I am definitely going to participate, I just started drawing my entry. Again with pencil (I bought new 8B, man I didn't see that black black before), hope I will get all details I want.

PS: I just find out drawing is great relax after whole week animating two chatting characters... Nightmare...

OK i have never seen the "Avatar, the last air bender" until this pass weekend. my kids where watching it and i happened to see this scene when avatar was taking the fire lord power away from him. so for my last entry.
