flash anyone?

pop quiz. i'm making a short flash ani that has to be ready today more or less. and i want a trail of dots that start from one, and appear, like.... like when u have indiana jones flying from one place to another, and u see his trail on the map? that's the thing i want. haven't used flash for a while, but isn't there a snapshot option or something? i'd appreciate any help here.

I don't know that much about flash so maybe someone else will have a better solution, but you could draw the trail of dots & then just use an animated mask layer, pulling the mask across the page to reveal the dots. The help files should have a tut on masks I think.

i flash all day and mike hit the nail on the dot..masks would be the best option for revealing somethin in a timeline..so draw your final image make it a movie clip in the mc timeline add a layer turn that to a mask and create your shape then turn it into a graphic and set up your tween......whala insta dot drawing..
