Hello,

I was working on my space scene too much so I had to take a small break and do something else so I took another one of my older models and started to prepare it for my showreel. So here will come various renderings of the car with lots of post effects that will hopefully make it into some bigger animation :)

The car is not 100% finished and still needs lot of work on the shaders so don't look at these details, please :)

As usual, created in 3ds max, rendered with finalRender and post in Fusion

I can actually only comment on your shaders, so here I go.

The rims are a bit to reflective in my opinion, and so are the exhaust tips. Maybe I am the only one, maybe not. I think the same goes for the headlights, it's hard to see what you are looking at because of strong reflections. but overall, a very nice project and addition to the site :)

I forgot to mention that the chrome shader is still very basic and I mostly worked on the carpaint, but thanx for the comment :)

Here's a small detail (some parts of the model are not smoothed enough so it looks a bit sharp).

Very lovely car, and beautiful render, could i tell you with what engine (vray or mentalrey) do you use to have this effect ?

Thanks :) As mentioned in first post I use finalRender for rendering.

Some update after a long time :) Model is still not 100% finished (mostly the rear part so I can show it at least from this view), just wanted to make some new shiny render :)

Wow beautiful renders, I really like the last one. Are you going to make the grill that goes behind the front fins (I can't really tell if you haven't, its dark in there)? Personally crits wise I am not a fan of the reflective floor and the harsh edges of the shadow, try making the falloff higher so it's softer if you agree. Either way, nice job.

Also, do you mind sharing your scene setup? I have an Audi R8 wip here too you can check it out if you'd like; and I promise to respect your creativeness and not copy it completely if you do decide to share it but it seems to be a fantastic building block, I love the renders you have here.

Thanks for the comments.
About the details like grills etc., it's not there yet but I'm gonna add it soon (got some more projects going on so it might take a while tho). That's why still I keep this in WIP section :) There will be also some environment and this simple reflective floor is just temporary.
The scene setup is nothing special. The most important are reflections and well placed specular lights. There is a plane with pure white material above the car and some omni lights around it that have only speculars enabled so they don't cast any additional light or shadows and just highlight some parts of the car.

that looks fantastic, let us know how you lit the scene! (couple screen shots)

Good improvement over the original renders. IMO it feels as if the highlights are overbright, and maybe it needs a little bit of colour correction as it seems washed out a little. Otherwise the model looks great.! :)
