Hey all,

I'm trying to render a high poly plane with lots of detail and textures. I exported the entire model with option set to default. Then when I start a new scene, and adding the proxy to a low object it renders without the textures. I'm getting a lot of errors in the script editor saying:
No such file or loacation.
All the textures and all the files are located in the same folder, the project is set right so there's no reason for maya not to find the textures. I tried using memory mapped textures (.map) and different export methods bit nothing works.

Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to solve this?

Thanks.

Right so after a day of swearing and cursing I'm a bit further. I've managed to set the directory in the right path, so most of the textures are found, however not all of them are rendered out correctly.
I'm really clueless on this on. All the textures are in the same folder and accounted for, yet mental ray seems to be missing them. The original high poly file renders it correct, the proxy is messed up.
Can someone help me please?

The only thing I can think of is that maya is having one of her days. Again I would double check to make sure things are set in the right folder and you have maya looking at the right project. Also maybe don't export it. Just import it into a new scene. That is usally what I do when I have to import a new object to a new scene. I normally just import it and never export it from its orginal scene. otherwise I am pretty much stumped
