Left the decision up to my friends on which of the 2 concepts to do and snake came up most favourable, so I think I'll be doing the old snake costume, so form fitting octo camo :)

Finished the high poly M4 made a few subtle changes to the one shown in the mgs4 artwork such as the scope (I updated it for a more modern holographic scope) and the silencer. Gonna start on the high poly character over the next week with a few feminine changes to the stealth suit, and hopefully if i have enough tris left over I'd like to get a little mk2 in but we'll see

Nice choice, man. I'll be honest though - I'd rather see some concepts than a gun model:) Still, it's gotta be great warm up, and it IS a nice model...

Thanks, yeh it was a good warm up as I've been spending most of my time training in alias ready for my masters course so been a bit out of practice with max. Plan on drawing up some concepts tomorrow hopefully as I'v got a few ideas that need to get put down to help visualise it all

Nice gun. From the concepts I like number 2. A pony tail might look good too. Keep up the good work.

costume concepts let me know which one looks best or bits from them etc

rad man - metal gear ftw! :D

outfit two - cause the gear belt looks best. 3 is ok, but a v-neck of that size is quite inappropriate for a combat sneak stealth suit - except she wants to make use of her stun grenades ;)

number 4 - no way!

hehe just kidding, my final design is a mash of the various favourable bits, as advised by members here and friends IRL

From a practical point of view with regards to the costume, it really seems like those two ****** straps would be uncomfortable and "ride up" something awful/chafe while skulking around.

i love your design and the flow of the suit on the legs looks so cool the way it flows into to the toes o-0

Nice concept. That's like perfectly done - it just screams instantly, "female Snake"! Just make sure to save some polys to do a cardboard box for her in the end;)

That gun model looks superb, I'd be interested in seeing a wireframe of it just for my own personal reference.

Good choice of outfit. Have you thought of maybe working the mullet in? haha, just a thought :-P

been very ill and busy last week or so, so haven;t really done much, finally got down to work today, and knocked out the base mesh which ill take into zbrush.

The whole model's a little heavy atm 41000 tris lol but alot of that is the straps etc which will be normal mapped. And the the whole thing will be retopo'd to get rid of unneccesary tris

screengrab of the viewport, no normals applied and for some reason viewport textures are pixelated. Rendering the final images atm
