hey guys and gals.

well I settled on doing Altair, as I want to use this comp as practise for zbrush, and the mix of materials and fabrics and their details will give me an especially good challenge with altair. Also I think Hell-girl has been done many times!

so, hope to start blocking out some 3d later this weekend, and for those who wanted a hellgirl. here's another quick sketch I started :P

It makes me sad, that they didn't do the main character in the game based on this sketch :(
Staring at a girl's.. back is always better than an ugly guy's :) I'm looking forward for your zbrush progress!

I agree, HellGirl's been done too many times already, even tho your sketches for her were awesome. Altair is the more interesting choice.

I've seen female Altair before (both female and male versions of him were a popular thing for peers to do when I went through art school, for some reason), but I haven't seen L3XICON's female Altair before, so I'm excited anyway:D Once again the concept art is fantastic, and patterns on the varied materials are really, really nice. I can't wait to see ya pull this off - it's gonna look awesome!

I am glad this challenge isn't based around concepting a character because you would have me beat into the dirt and this early on. I love the way it looks and your idea for it. Can't wait to see the model.

yes! It keeps true to the game better than the actual character did. nice emblem implementation. and I dig the deeper cowl more than the one in the game as well. only thing is, i dunno how hidden that hidden blade is, exactly, still looks interesting.

Awesome my first choice was to go for Altair also.
Guess I cant do that anymore.

of course it will be *cough*

I've been busy with portfolio work and art tests the past week or so.. see http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=68710. so I havnt got anything done on altairina. but with a great deal of that work done now, I hope to be able to spend some quality time on this.. I got a lot of catching up to do!
