Hey all,

Working on a Counter-Strike character. Not the most exciting character, but I have always wanted to model an arctic avenger with an awp :D

Male to Female, as far is I know there are no female terrorists in the games.

Nice boots....wanna ****? hehe. The pants need some work...but then again, you said look at the boots. They look sweet and clean...they need some scratches and the like, but I'm guessing you just haven't gotten there yet.

The boots look really good, but they look really really tall. Like above-the-knee stripper boots.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments.

Concerning the boots, I'm not sure I agree that the upper part would go over the knees, that would just look and feel weird. However they are perhaps a bit skinny, which I will have a go at fixing.

I will do a second pass over the details on everything, still in the stage of getting everything in there at the moment, so pants etc will get more attention soon.

I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed - I thought that an Arctic Avenger was going to be a gender bended version of the Toxic Avenger or something. I'm pretty sure that the Arctic could count as the opposite of...toxic sludge, probably:D

Seriously though, it's looking really great so far man. Everything about it looks really well modeled, and you're really nailing the details. The only thing I can think of is maybe some gear for her head. I'd figure any type of commando that operates in the snow would at least have goggles, y'know, to fight off the horrendous glare. Other than that, the model's looking sweet man. Keep up the good work!

Haha, I'm sorry that I disappointed you. Might knock up some goggles, but depends if I get time or not.

This is where I am with the character texture at the moment. Still a wee way to go, no spec yet. Got a few proportions to tweak also that I am not happy with. As for the goggles, I may try just glasses as I am not sure I will be able to fit the goggles in.

The textures and the normals look great. But yea man, something happened with the proporations there. She looks like a Team America puppet right now:) I guess no one caught it cuz your only other full body pic of her (the second to last pic on the first page of the thread) was at an angle; word of advice, don't try to hide things during these comps. It's a lot easier for people to give constructive criticism when we can see it all, y'know? Maybe someone coulda caught that before now...

Anyway, good luck man! I hope you can fix those proportions - the rest of it is looking great!

Yeah fair enough, worked on the proportions a bit since then. I'm not the best at proportions yet :D

Whipped up a quick character pose, still texture work to be done! Oh yeah and she is leaning against something... but don't read into the pose too much as it was very quick.

What are you having problems with? Mine is very simple, just a photo base with some paintover. Don't take anything from the eyes because I didn't work on them... as you never really see that area.
