Speed Painting Challenge no. 98

Topic: Gender Bender

Idea: Alrighty then, some of you may know this, some of you may not, but the current game art comp going on is doing the same topic, so I thought it would be cool to see what you guys could come up with it.

Here is what they have to work with:

I think we all have done it at least once in our life time. You know, you sit back in your chair and daze off, staring into the creative departments of your mind thinking up a bunch of what ifs. Like, what would this character look like as a woman or what would this character look like as a man?

Well, here is your chance to make those thoughts reality. Pick a well know character, from cartoons, comics or video games and flip their gender. So, if the character is originally a man, they need to be made into a woman. If the character you choose is originally a woman, then you need to make them a man.

The challenging part of this competition will be to keep the characteristic and feel of the original character yet still showcase the new character as its own person.

Deadline: 11:59 pm (GMT) August 9th (use the time zone thread to make sure your done in time)

Rules:

- Any medium is allowed, as long as it can be put into digital form - scanned, photographed, etc.

- Since it's a speed painting, it should be finished in the smallest amount of time possible, but if you paint a whole day, you won't get disqualified. But for example, 4 days is too much

- IF YOU PAINT MULTIPLE ENTRIES, YOU NEED TO STATE BEFORE THE DEADLINE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST. IF NOT – I’LL DO IT FOR YOU
- References can be used - 3D or photograph, BUT you can't paint over them. It has to be your own painting.

Custom brushes can be used, but to some extent - they can't be pre-made parts of the future painting, like a whole tree, brush, cloud, an explosion, lighting... you get the point. They can be - a couple of leaves, a couple of grass blades

ok, so the time limit is a day? meaning 24 hours? Not that it will take that much to make one of these, but i would prolly spend a few nigths working on it like 1 hour or something. Would that work?

rico: number one is better dude, it's much looser and your strokes are way more confident - the second seems a little forced somehow.

There was an old couple that lived faraway in the forest. They loved each other. They were dying of old age. The husband wanterted his wife to live long even after his death. So, even after a lot of protest from the wife he persuaded somehow to a procedure. He wanted to replace her body parst with that of the forest animal which was the deer. The wife gave in after a lot of persuasion from the husband.

He replaced the wife's head in a separate room outside of their home, with the male deers horny head. But, he died soon after; without replacing the rest of her body parts. Now, the wife lives on, alone and the scene shows her walking towards the home after a stroll.

Done in Adobe Photoshop CS4 in 3hrs.
