im going to go out a limb and say suspenders would be impractical
suspenders over a skintight rubber suit however....

but skin tight works for me.......will have a think about any clothing..but i do know rubber boots come to mind.......maybe goingwayyyyy up high....what to do what to do.
boobs are inplace so halve the battle is won hehe

You could always just go from the belt down with the suspenders and use them to hold her boots up. Nice start, keep it up.

She sure is cold lol :haha:. Some thing about the boots just seems like they are uncomfortable and would hinder her in battle.
However, I love the mask and overall style. two thumbs up.:wave:

I'm saying go with the second boots in mels post. The current ones are too high to allow for full suspender exposal. Also I'm not sure tapering the sole out is working

will correct the soles..not sure if i want to go with heals...but will do a test run.....i think suspenders may link to the garter bits...don't know yet...just thinkering along with out a game plan.

not textured yet...just a color run to see if it's staying close to the original.

it's looking good. only thing is that the hot pants aren't really working. Probably a pair of bikini type bottoms would do... Also, her heel is unsupported as of now; she needs more platform or a stiletto or whatnot. Keep it up, fella.

Joe......the boots ...had in mind those victoria beckam shoes with no heels....but i adjusted the boots a little bit more anyway ;)
poo: tried to do the plaid skirt...but the body is a bit to styliced with very long hips...made the skirt look a bit funny....(was even planning to put your avatar on her white nickers)....i went for the less fabric option...so now i have more straps in the end.
probably will do the weapon next (to many poly on the one i've got now)
found some space for grenades though yay

Not bad, I think the gloves could be slimmed down some. I think the heels could use some work still. If possible I honestly would like to see another row of horizontal edges in her but and round it out. For my taste looks too blocky. I like my rfemal butts to be nice and round. :D

I love the outfit so far. I do agree with X that the gloves look a little big, especially in contrast with her upper arms. I would also look at her ****** area (not like that :) ), it looks like there is something weird going on there with some edges.

got sidetracked abit...but i'm back on it.
the gloves i'm keeping because that and the mask and weapon are the only thing as the male version...anyway ones it's painted i'll make the call.........as for the ****** are....hahah i'll fix that when it comes out weird with normals and everything...i'm sure i can throw a few loops in with some to spare.
so....heres the weapon...and now the less fun part.....unwrapping will be next..aiiiii.

depending where you're at with the budget you could save abit more on the gun: the knuckle protector? and trigger could be just planar, and the loops used to make the holes in the nozzle and bottom of tank could be welded off.

the holes in the nossle i was hoping to pull that of with alpha?

oh, and she's missing some parts:D
I showed it this way because I don't know if Blender has welding or a similar function - I would think that it should...look for something like weld verts or target weld.

i c...yeah blender has weld i think...the one i'm sure of is highlight that part of the loop and say delete loop...it will find the closest point to connect to...or it will refuse if it doesn't know what to do......i can always do it manuel.
the main reason i haven't stuck in to many triangles because is still struggle with normal maps..so i try to keep straight loops
when i have to many i will for sure weld them (after normals)....the alphas i was talking about was for the big nossle straight on the front of the gas tank it's got many holes in the original...i'm to lazy to cut those holes for starters ;)
it has all been flattend now so normals is next on the agenda.....forgot to say about last picture....the polylines visible are a texture map (uv layout)
so the fun can begin again.
i seem to have ups and downs....love modeling....hate unwrapping...love sculpting.....(baking so so)like painting....boring rigging.....finished model..NEXT please hahahaha

Pretty sweet, man. Personal taste thing here, but the hotpants looked way better. Something about the thong throws off the flow of the model for me. I would suggest a sort of low-rise pantie thing, but again, it's just a matter of preference. Thongs are so 80's though....

i do a bit of paint..than bake a few normals....than some paint to keep it fun.

I think whats going on with the thong is that the booty is too flat. Another thing I see is how far the pelvic area(******) sticks out. Your 3/4 views have the ****** way out there. Don't think it should be out any further than the legs.

had a look at that big toe.... the pelvic is in the right spot....but the legs arn't.
centerpoint of gravity wasn't right...i think because she is standing on her toes.....but i fixed that.
so hope it looks better....made her booty stick out by moving the legs forward at the same time.
so onwards and paint some other things..enjoy the fix:

no need to self illuminate. But, you can if you want to.
If your using Max, just pop your diffuse texture into the self illuminate slot. Done.

Looking really good. Lots of details, I think you did a great job with all the straps and stuff. Only crit I've got, the straps on the back of the thong, could use some arc, they're a bit too straight across in my opinion.
For self illumination, its a up to you if you want to do it or not. I think it used to be that engines needed help with the lighting, but most current engines can manage all the lighting on their own. So self illum has become more of a style choice than anything, tho its still used in super low spec stuff like the DS etc. You're working from TF2 source material, and that is heavily stylized, so it might be worth investigating to get that look for your model too.
You're a Blender user right? To get self illum you can try what BigToe suggested and drop your color map into the "emit" channel, or you can just turn the emit value as a whole up for the mesh. Keep in mind, self illum relies on having some baked or painted lighting to look its best.

I had tried using my paint texture as emit....but at 0.01 it was so bright you couldn't see anything.
big toe mentioned using the diffuse map....so i need to learn and create one of them.....i need to figure that out some time. for now i think i will use lightpoints.....unless i have a massive amount of spare time before deadline after i called it finished.(still need to paint alot and a base to create)
allmost forgot, there a few more items that can use a bit more loops (straps holding up the boots have none either) but since it's all new to me i kinda wait to see what the end count of the triangles are.
at least i figured out how to count them (blender only counts faces.....x2 should be ballpark triangle..or triangulate the whole thing and than see what the score is.

more paint done....now i need to learn how to make the gas tank look a bit worn...tried illumination by the way ....and it seems to pop out a bit more..anyway here is another update.
even though i think the panties design is abit over the top, i also think ur model is very nice, and the textures look very good. i hope mine will be half so good as yours. everytime u manage to improve what u got. keep it up : ) cant wait till next update.

Great pose and you've got the TF feeling there. I think her head is little too small compared to the body, maybe just some scaling will do the trick

I'm guessing you have some tri's left and I think it would really look nice to have one of those handles that's above the main cylinder, like a chaingun or whatnot... Some highlights along the edges of the weapon might help, too. Another small thing is that the tank is rusty but not much else.
Anyway, nice work, mate. Keep it up:D
