im trying to texture a case, but whenever i apply my pic it streches out all the time even when I do the uv map
Here some screen shots ( i put the other to in url cause there to big)

If your image is a different dimesion to your object say your image is a square and your object is rectangular it will be stretched. Maya likes square textures so make sure any image you bring in make sure its square,if rectagular increase the size of the image around it in you fav photo app. It will be faster too. Try a simple planar projection use the in window texture placement option to make sure its actually projecting onto in in the corrrect orientation short cut key is t. adjust to fit. Finese in the uv window should work. If its smered in viewport you have to turn on higih quality preview and or disable any filtering you might have turned on under the texture option window under your shader.

It looks like you made tweaks to uvs after the texture was applied.
