Here is my initial concept, pretty happy with it so far.
not from earth and probably with a very stylized look.
Hope you like it.

without the legs it has some "out of this world appeal" with them, not so much, but nevertheless i like the little details and the organic style

thanks for the comments guys, yeah I've been thinking if I should go with this idea or slap a pair of wings on it and see how that looks.
it has a shark like fibe over its head and i think its very unique. i wonder how this is gonna end up..
i like this a lot, the style most of all! keep it up!

thanks a lot for the comments guys, really appreciated.
I think I'm done with the sculpting, will start moving on to the retopo and texturing part now.
C&C welcome.
I think the legs need to look a bit more hard, that or break the limbs in pieces. Right nwo the limbs look like they are just plain legs. Very nice detail tho!

You are right dude it does need something to break up the leg . I'll fix that up, thanks for the comment and pointing that out. :)

Looks good, really diggin' what you did with the back. I agree, if you break those legs up some, maybe include some of the "plating" you used on the back?

whats up guys, I'm really struggling to get this done I still got a lot left to do hope to finish on time though. :dunno:
here is a quick test of the AO I'll be using combined with the texture.

Looking good so far man.
One thing, I'd say you need to show us your triangle count since that is what we are using for this challenge.

Nice bake!! Pretty well done

Looks like the AO baked pretty well. Having that should make texturing a bit easier, have at it, times tickin'.
