yes i have the motherboard that support it.
so 32bit can run 8 gb ?? thats a relieve.guess i dont have to format my harddisk and installing 64bit then.
but it makes me confuse now about the difference between 32 and 64 bit ?
such a noob question i know

Sorry dhasian, but a 32bit-system canīt adress more than up to 4GB RAM. Sure you can put a lot more onto your Motherboard and the BIOS of course can adress that, but Win32 still wonīt use more than 4GB, or to be correct about 3,5GB. Thereīs no way round, except using a 64bit-OS!

Depends if you use XP or Vista. 32 bit XP can handle only up to 2 gig. The 64 bit version of XP can handle more, but i'm not sure how much. But words go that the 64 bit version of XP doesn't handle large amounts of ram too well.

32 bit Vista and Windows 7 I'm not sure about. But I know the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate can handle up to 192 gig of ram.

I've got 64bit XP and it handles 8 GB ram very well.

192 GB ram on Win 7? Can't wait to have those specs. Reminds me of a few years ago, when I had 64 MB ram, and I was reading about people with 1 GB of ram.

yeah,i think 8 gb ram is enough for me.i never try vista so maybe ill stick to xp and upgrade to 64 bit.

192 gigs ?! whew that gonna be a lot of memory stick...

640k? Well. Why not. Lets get back to the good old dos where you constantly have to tweak your himem.sys to get you games working :D.

not a big deal about 192 gigs though, coz we know already boxx systems support 256 gb , there mobo have 32 dimms .

so i guess the window versions wch are made for boxx are now being brought for consumers.

boxx had 128 gb systems wth xp , so it all depends on MS how much want there os to support

and besides i have heard rumor rife abt 128 bit os so i gues MS gonna kill 32 and make 64 popular.
