yes, yes it is.
But, I just watched Equilibrium and I think a name change is needed.
Backstory:
Living his whole life following what he thought was the one and only truth, he was rudely awakened. What he thought, the way he lived, how he forced others to live, was all a lie. Most people, after coming to a conclusion such as this would take their own lives and rightly so. But not this Grammaton Cleric. No, he isn’t the type to just sit back and let wrong get away with its doings. He spent his life changing others in the fight between right and wrong, but now he is the one to change. Taking his own side, he is hell bent on making all those that brainwashed him, pay.
This is his truth, sometimes the truth kills.
Cool idea, but it's pretty shamelessly ripped off the movie  :haha:

Equilibrium pretty much kicks ass.
The scene where he listens to the old record is damn powerful.

Polys are looking really dense in the face, particularly around the mouth, but its early set, so carry on. Really digging the style of the face and head gear.

not having a concept to work from is killing me on this one. jumping back and forth, this could take awhile. Will go back when I'm happy with everything to clean up the mesh.(face)

Is that a triangle I see there...shame on you. Have you tried just doing paintovers to get some ideas out; not a revelation but it's an idea.

I feel you on the "not having a concept to work from" it's a pain. The Torso is looking good though.

Triangles are fine, only time you need to worry about them is when sculpting and even now you can get away with them on sculpting software's from time to time :).

he is turning into some kind of jungle warrior, or justa guy that lost his shoes/

A really nice start. Although the cartoon aesthetic that you've got in the face is making me think that the waist and legs should be smaller, and the shoulders broader (ala Mr Incredible).

anyone got any tips on sculpting clothing, body parts, like the arms, the face, basiclly, how do you sculpt anything/everything?

There are a lot of videos in youtube.com that give you an idea more or less & some go quite into detail on making cloth (on Zbrush). For muscles I like using the "Clay Tubes Brush" to get the form and smooth them out once I got the shape I want, also don't go all crazy and subdivide the mesh too fast, build upon it layer by layer until you get the desired volume.

Very nice work!!! Love his profile, very stuff and mean looking SOB! I dont think you have to completely start over. I love his head and upper body. His lower body is a bit narrow and not as strong looking.

trying a different approach, reusing as much mesh as possible.

good direction, I prefer this :) it gives a mysterious side...
Sorry to hear you've decided to start over (a frustration i'm all to familar with), but at least this new concept is looking pretty bad-ass! Looking forward to seeing more.

the biceps are a bit short, other than that, great work! =D

I kinda like the biceps, did some more polly pushing, running out of time. Less then a week to unwrap, do any sculpting I may do, texture and pose.

Looking really good Toe. I like the style alot. Modelling is good. The subtle texture on the pants is nice too. He just may need a dirt pass on the feet and I think he'd seem even more real. Nice spear too, btw.

Aww, damn, I didn't catch you before you posted your final. I think he looks awesome, the only thing I would like to see is more transition from garb to skin. Try tossing some more clothing scraps under his neck and face mask that falls on his bare skin to make it more of a transition in both color and look. Do some more of that cloth or some tribal beads in various places to make the transition a little more smooth. Just some afterthought in case you'd like to revisit it in the future.
Good job!
