Thanks a lot buddies,

As soon as I can I´ll type what
is hand written. By now, here´s
a little story of him.

Sorry about by bad english.

Iago Casemiro

He used to be a selfish and arrogant mercenary, part of a deadly
team. They planned to start something really big, but things gone
a bit wrong. The Deadly ones got too much greedy.

The well know military base, Area51, was taken by the group. Lots
of technologies and documents were stolen. Now, they have a full,
highly dangerous, personnal genetic altered army, and total domination,
is what they´re looking for.

Iago disagree of their political thoughts and is up for the fight
aganst this new threat. Te fact is that despite of his arrogance,
he believes on freedom. And he is ready to garantee it to every
single person on this planet.

A mercenary turns into a hero today!

BTW, I think I´m going for an heroic moment and a dynamic
action scene, where I´d like to show Iago´s agility and flexibility
working together with he´s other habilities...

I like your concept, you had some really nice ideas for his cloth. The only thing that bothers me is the right leg.
Perhaps you should try to make the legs more symetrical, with same shoes on every leg, and perhaps a little aberration on the right one.

And I would draw the legs much longer, at the moment his proportions aren´t right. I made a quick edit on your image, hope you doesn´t mind.

I totally agree about the proportion.
Yet, I don´t disagree about the boot,
but I´m trying to avoid symmetrical
vests. Any ideas?

Still at rough stage, but c&c
are really welcome.

Hope you like it. He´s putting
to sleep his ex-teammate, now
the leader of the dangerous ones...
I think the leader will be a genetic
altered rocky beast or something
like that.

I like the fact your hero has strong and weak points, I think that's good for a charadesign It gives credit to it. And nice dynamic pose!

I really like the action and energy of this composition (and I'll stay away from the nose picking jokes :D). I also like how you made the hero much beefier than the first sketches.

You could add a little more depth to your scene by having the giant push his left hand even closer to the camera.

You've got great intensity on your hero's face and also good anguish on the giant. This shot really does a nice job of capturing the moment just before the fatal blow that you can feel is coming.

Can't wait to see how it progresses.

AbdultheNewt: He is grabbing Iago´s right leg, haha... How can I improve that, to make it look more convincent? I think I´ll also try the closer to the camera version you suggested.
zanman:I thought of some smoke and clouds, a very intense sun light and maybe a wall of rocks, like a canyon, with a few secondary characters watching the final battle. What do you think?

I´ve started roughing out the colors, but I guess that I still need to change some details first...

nice work.
I liked that pulse around the arm, but it seems you've let that idea go...
You could try folding his two outer fingers, like he is bracing for the punch!

uuu realy cool buddy :), an idea from me you can make the scene darker and the hole in his hand to have some strong light, the same for those lines on the hand, plus you can make highlights on the monster body where that light should be casting i think it will make the scene look more dramatic (hope i spell it right :) ), aniway this will be a cool scene, good job

when i frst took a look at this page i thot that u made a goku and space ghost fusion lol.

but hes looking great right now.

for bg , may be show them fighting on dojo grounds or near ruins.

J.B.: I agree. Since I´m not a pro, I´ll take care of the GI at the end. And the hole will have a really bright shine, great idea.
hulahuga: After of taking care of GI, will be SFX´s time, haha...

I really like how this is coming along. One composition (again, me with the depth comment) suggestion would be the coincidental line between his left leg and the giant's shoulder. I'd recommend bringing the knee in front and pushing the shoulder behind.

Hey!! Good to see another brazilian around here =D (eu acho q n pode ter postagem q n seja em inglês, intao lá vai...)

I really like the bad guy design! The whole scene has plenty of motion, which is good!

Are you using tablet or mouse? Turn on the 'pen pressure' setting on the brush options if you're using a tablet, if not...you're doing pretty well with the mouse! ;)

Try to play with colors...I agree with JB as to put a darker background, and try to do your best when it comes to the lighting sources...I believe a light source coming from above and from the bad red guy would be very nice!

Overall, great work so far ;)

surely learning a lot with you. Resenhista, good to find
a BR fellow around here, too. :D BTW, I´m using a tablet.
A pretty cheap one, but it´s a tablet, ;P.

Here´s another update. I went back to shaping with B&W.
Gone really hard into shadows and now I´m coming back,
detailing with highlights and midtones. It´s a rush,
since I´m at novice level, haha... :wall: :smug:

Hope you like it and hope I´m still able to finish it
in this century, huahuahau...

nice foldings you did there, my tablet is an Aiptek 14000U, i also have an old Wacom Volito2 but you can't call that a drawing tablet because of the amount of pressure you have to aply to stard drawing :), now i'm waiting for an intuos3 large, yesterday left San Francisco :P still some days until it gets to me...

Yay! Today was a producent day.

ooooo I liked that fur...If you could mix the 2 you posted above, that would be awesome!
But I think his face is still too dark...the whole picture in general, but that may change when you'll do the coloring ;)
Great character designs nonetheless!! Keep it up! =D

Looking at my reference images, could
check out that llama´s fur is really thin
and defined. I have changed few things,
including the right hand, face and leg´s
shadows.
