 Hello folks!
I reserve this place, my choice and my concept carries on the mythical sword of Elric: Stormbringer! even if for me the time of 2h is very short I'm going to try to make a good project...
cheers
I didn't think it would be long before someone did Stormbringer. I was kicking around the idea as well, but just can't get motivated to model anything :D

:hmm: ...sorry, I didn't understand everything the sense of your sentence because I express myself hardly in English (I apologize for it!) but I think that it's of the positive! isn't it?

Hi All!
here's Stormbringer, realization been make in 1 h 52, understanding modelling, unfolding Uv' s and sculpt in levels of grey then manufacture of normal map in Xnormal. The render is made in LW,at the moment it are of shaders there are no textures map...
I don't know if they have the right to use shaders for the render? otherwise I would make textures map later... :)
I have use the technology of export of normal map from a picture in levels of grey for time saving because I knew that if I launched into the sculpture the time would be exceeded for me, to earn the map in details levels of grey and normal map are 2048X2048pix.
I hope that you will like ;)

wow, that is very high detail. Are these images your final render? You might want to pick a lighter background so that the sword can be seen better. Good work!

thanks bgen! damage that the time was restricted to 120 mn because I would have preferred having 180 mn, because that I made in modelling is very simple unfortunately...

Hey Chris, excellent work. Just remember to add the software you used in the images somewhere. Its a requirement in the rules :).
now i like the clay render even better, you can see the detail much better then in the beauty one.

Nice legendary weapon, I suggest you a lighter background for your first image, comme ça ta lame se détachera mieux, c'est fort sombre, ou alors c'est ptetr mon vieil écran.

I gave light in my last post in comparison with the posts of the first page! I think that it comes from your screen because after illumination, I will looked at it on others PC (at my job)...I think it is also setting the gamma of each monitor screen ...
I don't know if I owe lit more? what do you think people of it?

hey Chris Solo,
did you do the "normalmaps" within the 2 hrs?
or outside?
chris_solo
11-11-2009, 03:39 PM
> inside
modelling (lightwave) + Uv's (UVlayout) + creation normal map (photshop & Xnormal)
in 1 h 52mn
I read the rules and the establishment of normal map is understood as modelling.
it is as for it as I showed (page 1) how I had work, for time saving!
>why?

thanks vox360!
yes, normal map was created by hand in grayscale and then turned in normalmap by Xnormal.
