Modelled in 120 minutes in 3Ds Max 2008.
Beauty rendered with Vray, clay with scanline, wire are screen grabs.
For beauty render I have used some textures from vraymaterials.de
Some textures were hand made.
Though the weapon is based on Warhammer universe, it is my own design. After all, every orc makes his own choppa.
If there are any questions to how I made this or that, ask away. "Behind the scene" part of wire should explain most of it :)
So without further delay, I present you the legendary weapon of the mightiest Black Orc there was. One handed "Choppa of da Big'un!"

Way to go Boss! WAAAGH! My only input would be to refine the lighting in your beauty pass. Unless you intended it to have that flat gray ambient lighting, in which case - spot on! I also love the way you presented the wireframe image. Excellent.

That would poke someone's eye out :D
Awesome work. Agree on doing a better lit render, cause this one is killing it a bit :(

Ooooo...very orcy. I love it. I agree the render could use more "pizzazz" though.
very nice design, i like it
Thank you very much for both kind and insightful comments.
Ad the background, I have chosen the gray on purpose, because it seems to me a lot of details will be lost once I put it on other background. Trust me I am not happy when I cant put the item on themed background. Anyways, I will look for something and for something to light it more. Although I must be careful with that. I want to preserve the look of weapon that is oiled only with blood, and only when it splashes on it. Meaning dirty, not shiny. Audience demands background and light! :D
But before I go into this, I have to think about the two other weapons I intend to make. One of those will have nice settings in beauty render, I can already promise you that ;)
Hello :)
So here is the last one I put in the finals thread. It has different lights, but I didnt change the background as it all interfered with the object.
