Wanted to make something dark, I'm a big fan of heroic and dark fantasy.
Have fun on this competition guys!

She looks pretty powerful.

Nice design. is it a guy or gal?
10-11-2009, 07:18 PM
Thanks for the comments.
I think it's a guy... yeah...or maybe a girl. No, it was a guy first, or...
I don't know, it's a sort of dark demon/knight, but could be masculine or feminine. With the armor you can't see her breast so I let the public choose.
If you want to see a man, it's your choice, if you want to see a woman, it's your choice too, heroes choose freeeeeeedom!
I'm still working/changing the charadesign, don't know if I'll keep the wings, I'm messing up with the head/helmet atm and I'm just doing s**t.
There will be a scene [attachment], a tower burning with a lot of smoke on the background, some sort of big fat panda, no the panda was just a joke, some sort of big fat dragon mount carrying some dead/prisoner buddy. Bones, skulls, drama, and there will be a lot of black and obscure darkness, and I'll also add somes shadows, maybe, yeah!

like your concept so far, the individual pics looked good enough byitself especially if it looks dark and epic

Some net problems, don't worry I'm sharing my network so It's an habit :)
I did some plate research, sketch etc... because I want to change it.
I started the dragon mount's detail, still have to work on it.
I worked on the hero's pose because it was completly wrong, rebuilding it completly, I've lost a lot of time on the pose, yes I know it's stupid, but I wanted to keep the design and the style so... But now the posing is ok, I can block on it.
And I've been working on the composition, landscape and atmosphere.
Critics and comments are always appreciated, even negatives ones.

Wow this is truly getting good...the landscape is promising, and the hero itself looks very cool...I really want so see what's coming next! Great job! =D

Thanks Resenhista that's a nice comment. Hope I'll finish this one on time.
Changed the composition again, starting to get some fun with the details:

waitin for colors!
25-11-2009, 08:51 PM
very cool i love it. :D
26-11-2009, 06:20 PM
I don't have decided if I will put some colors on it, but if I do, there won't be a lot :D.
I've been working on the architecture of the tower, I'll post it/edit soon. It's not finished yet, and it has some strange futuristic look, I don't know if it'll work with the rest...
I got too much things on this composition, where is my eraser?
I've got some nice alternative solution if I don't finish it in time :D.
29-11-2009, 12:17 PM
hahahaha I lol'd, we have some ultimate alternate entry there xD But seriously, keep your colors to a minimun, it fits better with that mood...unless you put some really desaturated tones...
Theres a ton of details on the structure, incredible...
Finish it in time buddy, you're doing good =D
29-11-2009, 03:25 PM
I'll try to finish tonight, If I can't then I'll post my latest version.
Integrating the tower with my messy perspective...I've lost too much time on this tower.
I've changed again my compo, this one is the good one, I swear!
Need to work on the overall details, the ambient, finish the hero/mount, still the zombie shadow, the skulls, so much...

It's 80% from the original size (300dpi), in 72 dpi:

I wanted to push this one a little more, but I couldn't really finish everything I wanted to do...
Anyway, this is for those who like details:

Very nice style, the armor reminds me of LINEAGE game that i have played for a considerable period of time, that was my favorite game.
Good job & good luck :)

Thanks, I've never played the game but I should go look at it :). I used medieval armor reference and added some personal touch. I'm more Diablo 2 or warcraft III, old games now...
