"Legend tells of a legendary halberd whose cutting abilities were the stuff of legends, it was so deadly in fact that all enemies would go blind from over-exposure to its pure awesomeness"

-hmm I just had to borrow/steal a few lines from kung fu panda, so here is my concept now time for some modeling

The handle is too tin for the axe head, it looks like it's gonna break any second.

i was thinking of going with a metal rod so my thinking was that I could get away with the thinness. Style wise I like it better but I don't know if it is at all practical as a weapon. Well I am aiming for looks not function.

okay here is a quick render of the model it took me about 101minutes, now to start working on some materials

like the look of it, but if you're going for looks, is this esthetically or realism, if the first, it is fine as it is, if the latter, you should probably make it a bit wider.

hmm two comments on the same thing, perharps I should tweak things a little I have got 19 minutes out of the total 120 we are allowed so time for some tweaking, but if I do thicken things up I might as well go with a wooden handle instead of a metallic one could make more sense.

okay here it is with a away thicker stem, alot thicker infact I think I might have made it too thick but I have just about used up my allocated modeling time so there is nothing I can do about - total modeling time is 116min

p.s. are only screen grabs allowed for wires; I am using Blender 2.49 and it can be a bit problematic to get wires out of it espically if you are showing multiple objects; wires in Blender's object mode are often incorrect. I usually use a rendering method to get my wires.

great, another blender user, like what you did with the stem, looks just good IMO, care to share the .blend? Just for eductional purposes ofcourse.

@Lord_doin, I am not to sure about releasing my blend file but we have to post wires and this isn't exactly a complex model so with the wires you will probably have a fair idea of how I approached things.
