Let me just say, that is so true, Becuase before it stop snowing it was thick, now about and hour after it stop, It do not look like it even snow. :D I took a vedio and pic if any one want to see what i mean. :D

Hmm, nice coffee, I added two sugars.
+1 for the master splotcher but he already got a nice composition, dynamic lines are there, lightning is quite defined and there is already an interesting atmosphere/colors.
When I see your sketch, I got some big inspiration, the image is already there, now it's the big work.
The background could have been some kind of forest and ruins, piece of metal or weapons, cables, some kind of hot jungle atmosphere.
That was my first idea because I was thinking the black center piece was the silhouette of a tree, just in the back of the girl, but I was wrong.
In fact those are skyscrapers burning in flames (flames are on the side) and the little points are the windows, did I guessed right? :D

those are skyscrapers in the back ground burning, also in the forground is a somewhat like headstone, becuase she take refuge in a gothic church, witch I try to give hint about it with the door on the rigth of her (the arc like door) I still have much work to do trust me. I should start working with line work and refence here today. I really want to make this a personal best, I have never gone realistic with my digital painting, mostly because I love comic and line art more. but that what this contest are for to push us. i'n going to ref guns, churches, fire, and any thing that comes to mind. :D

Realistic painting is some real p*** in the ***, but it's worth to try because you learn a lot.

Thanks Zanman and Washka, I am going anime ,kinda. i decided to just stick with my line art comic style. :D so here is the update for today. let me know what ya'll think. I tried to me a little risky and also try to make the building look unstable. :D

Some constructives comments:
Maybe there is some difference between the lenght of her shin? Care also with the stairs because the perspective is not the same one as the one of the buildings, maybe you should erase those stairs.

Thanks Washka. I have some time to really work on this one. :D

In the drawing there is two perspectives one is the fore ground which is the grass hill, cross, stairs, soldier and the second is the back ground with the city, moon. I have also finish the flats. So right know I'm just adjusting them until i get what i like. I'm change thing like skin color, sky, moon, and the dress. i have also did some correction with the line. I'll also take out the stair to see how it looks with out it a little later.

More to come. :D

as of right now I like the bottom two on the first image (the 4 up post ) and my fave is the one with the white hair. what do ya'll guy think. :D

This is looking good so far. I think the perspective is OK. It gives the impression that she is up on a hill with the city down below, which is probably what you were going for.

I like the orange hair better than white. I think it just stands out better against the blue in the background.

Hey M! Sounds good as a start, the first attempt was becoming impressive, pretty unusual style coming from you! But do what you are most comfortable with for now, but try to do some new approaches, it always adds exeprience =D
So, the atmosphere is getting good, liked the buildings you did...as an architecture student, I suggest you to search about Italian futurism, I think it would fit very nicely with your work! =D

I don't know if I'll have enough time to make something, so...be ready to receive lots of comments from me! hehe

Aby - Thanks :) well the line art is finish with a ink pen, but before in ink it, most of the time I'll pencil it first. Then I scan it in at 300 dpi in gray scale, i never do it in black and white because I'll lost some of the line work and detail. Once i have finish scan it The rest is done in Photoshop with my Tablet. :D

as for the nudity, why I add in was, to add a little sexiness to the drawing but I'm think of taking it out, I'm not sure yet. :D

by the way get your but in this challenge. :evil:

TimWinkelman - Yeah that the idea i was trying to get. you have a good point about the orange hair standing out better with the back ground. Thanks. :smug:

Resenhista - dude I'm sad you might not make it, it always fun to have you join the Challenges. yeah the first two where out of my comfort zone, I kinda did those out of fun, but also to work up an idea. :D thanks for the suggestion about Italian Futurism , that sound like a sweet idea trust me I'll look in to that.

her left butt cheek is super small compared to her left thigh size, also her face seems a little small... or something, idk. I really like what you got going here, keep it up.

mr.m. youve improved a lot since the last time i saw your work :)
I have a few crits. Im not sure if you already know, but if u hold shift in photoshop and draw you can draw straight lines. sme of the building elements look a bit wonky to me, not sure if you were going for that or not. also i kw its still early but i would suggest bleeding some of that light from you strong purple sky into your environment.

super cool work otherwise and i enjoyed looking around the pic and enjoying the details.

It's getting better, agree with depth (Big T), and with light's color (Freekybevis).
Maybe some more work on hand and gun?
And talking about birds, nobody is on the city, so no light is on, total desolation, nice, I like it.
But maybe just one little light is on (a survivor?), far far away on the background? There is some smoke there so maybe one of the window got a light on?
