View Full Version : Kraken – Army Of One – Hawk-eye
02-12-2009, 08:25 PM
I'm gonna do some sort of old experienced killer, that travels across post apocalyptic desert. I guess he should looks like something between Leon and Rorschach (Watchmans). Now he has no contracts and no clients, but his skills and his rifle will help him again.
Here are some of my references:

Awesome cloth work! Is there any books or websites you used to learn this or just visual studies?
08-12-2009, 08:11 PM

13-12-2009, 06:21 AM
New update! I almost done with head, but maybe i should add some details more? What do you think guys?
13-12-2009, 07:24 AM
I guess details can be dealt by textures...like age stains and similar!
or if you really wanna ad sculpts...well you might make the skin of the neck a little bit loose...

16-12-2009, 08:56 PM
As always - fresh update! I almost finished with sculpting, the last thing, that I need - belt. But I still didn't decide what sort of belt it should be..
17-12-2009, 03:16 AM
oh nice comin along good. I like the jacket.
17-12-2009, 03:52 AM
his head is a bit too big and his feet look to be on the large side as well (heel to toe) Both easy fixes.
18-12-2009, 08:02 PM
Thanks for advice!
I fixed my proportion troubles... I think so... But if something is wrong- please tell me!
Also I finished with re-topology and made normal map. Enjoy the update!
18-12-2009, 08:06 PM
will the jacket have any thickness to it? That would help a lot. especially since you have plenty of tris to spare.
19-12-2009, 06:25 AM
JGavin Thanks! I thought about it from the very beginning.. As you saw I didn't reach poly limit, so it's possible to fix this collar. And what about sleeves? They also have zero thickness. Should I fix them?
21-12-2009, 06:46 PM
One more update! :)
I almost done with texturing - now most important things are color correction and adding extra details.
You suggestions and advices are welcome! :)
P.S Head again looks bigger that it should be...
21-12-2009, 09:59 PM
perhaps you could tone down the saturation in the skin to give him a grayer look, maybe that would make the head 'pop' less compared to the model. Looks good so far, solid diffuse
23-12-2009, 05:26 AM
Good idea! Thanks!
Here is new update - almost done with rifle texturing.
23-12-2009, 02:38 PM
Love the rifle, it really shows how weather and time have taken a toll on this beauty. I don't know if some one suggested this but maybe adding major kill notches on the butt of the rifle. My favorite part is the scope well done.
very nice rifle. the model and texture looks great.
23-12-2009, 05:26 PM
Awesome textures on that rifle dude. :)
23-12-2009, 09:03 PM
buzz001 Notches could be a good idea! But do you really think that experienced sniper will spoil his rifle in that way? :)
Thanks guys! I'm really happy that you like it:)
24-12-2009, 01:36 PM
My thought was him being old and that would be a way to tell his story. He looks like a man of few words. :)
24-12-2009, 08:29 PM
buzz001 interesting idea!
Guys, I'm looking for answer - how can make eyes more realistic? Because now they look stupid a little bit.
it looks like the eyes are a bit too far apart.
27-12-2009, 02:26 PM
Look's like I gonna finish soon! Maybe I'll add some details, but it's not a big deal :xyz:
Good luck for everybody! We will do it!
27-12-2009, 02:38 PM
Well done for finishing, Looking good :) good luck with the voting :)
27-12-2009, 05:29 PM
29-12-2009, 02:44 AM
Nice, congrats on finishing. I like the logo on his back, nice add!
29-12-2009, 09:17 AM
Ok! Here are my main shots! I'll add texture sheet little bit later!
Poly count is 6666 tris! It's not a joke!
If you will see some proportion troubles that I didn't fix - let me now, I still have some time to fix them!
Thanks for every one were looking for my entry! And let's win the best of us!
29-12-2009, 05:05 PM
Great job, the leather coat is really good. Is the part of him that completes the model, and that logo is looking sweet.
29-12-2009, 09:15 PM

31-12-2009, 06:10 AM
