this is on te 1st of januari, in the ice skating hall in Eindhoven. I just drove back from Austria (10 hrs), didn't sleep for over 2 days, and skated for 4 hrs.... There's no PS involved here...

First a little inside info: Fontainebleau is a bouldering area, the blocks there are max 4 mtrs high, and you can climb without ropes. The only thing preventing you from breaking your ankles when falling is a thin foam matress, but the purists leave that out also. The 'routes' are very hard and athletic, compared to traditional climbing. Because of their lack of lenght they have to be to get a decent difficulty-level...

It's about five years ago that this photo was taken, and if I'm correct it's in an area called '95.2' (that's the altitude, for who's wondering). We were there with about 15 friends, and one of them took the picture, can't recall who exactly. The person who takes the pictures can stand on the ground ofcourse, or he/she can climb on a nearby block.... this one was taken on the ground.

for more pics and real-vids you could check bleau.info, a site dedicated solely to bouldering in FB. search for 'jos leenen', he's one of the initiators, and is bound to have some nice pics on his personal page.

Besides Eindhoven is much better for shopping and other entertainment than den bosch is and besides from that I first lived in Eindhoven. I didn't go to school in Veghel, in fact, I hardly know anything but this little burrough we live in (and no not the bunders that is) so I've really no idea about the school you mentioned and stuff.

And Dutch has something of a cow's sound, don't you think?

We moved from Eindhoven because we couldn't afford the rent anymore (they went on raising it every year and never did fix the leaking roof and we felt 500 euro was just too much at some point for the place we lived in), and the waiting-lists for houses to rent are pretty darned long there, that is, you had to live there for seven years at least before you could get any place to live that was any better than what we were living in.

By the way yours truely learned Dutch at the age of 8 as an immigrant and knows many other immigrants who learned it at an even later age and we all speak it to perfection and we study at a law faculty, and believe me, those teksts aren't for those who haven't mastered the language. See an example below.
The point I'm trying to make is that Dutch is not a difficult language at all. I don't think it is at all. I agree there are easyer languages, but there certainly are more difficult ones, French for example which has seemingly no connection between the way things are written and the way they are pronounced, and the order of words like 'blue' and 'thick' and the like seems completely random; sometimes they come before the object they speak of and sometimes after it?

Oh and I promised you an except from just an average book we have to study by.
"Het is voor ons evenwel evident dat een dergelijke formele gelijkheid en vijheid waarbij volstrekt geabstraheerd wordt van (niet aan het individu toerekenbare) ongelijkheden in persoonlijke kwaliteiten en economische macht, onvoldoende garantie biedt voor een faire competitie."

That was just one sentence. And as I said, an average sentence. The book we have to read and learn is nearly 400 pages in fine print of such sentences, and that's just one of the 5 or 6 subjects we study.

Here, perhaps this is easyer to understand:
"Democratische controle door de vertegenwoordigende organen is in de praktijk meestal geen effectief middel om de burger in concrete geschillen met het bestuur de vereiste bescherming te bieden; en administratief beroep respectievelijk administratief bezwaar (heroverweging door een hoger respectievelijk door hetzelfde bestuursorgaan) bieden onvoldoende waarborgen voor onafhankelijkheid."

I could find sentences you would understand hardly anything from but that'd make things seem worse than they really are. These are the senteces you read 95% of the time. And in LARGE amounts. 75 pages for one hoorcollege isn't so weird.

Well I'm from a small town called Zeeland, it's +/- 10 km. from Veghel.
I also moved to Eindhoven, because I did my study overthere.
After 5 years I moved to Uden, lived there for 5 years and now I moved back to my roots, so I'm living in Zeeland again. ;)

I didn't realise that there were so many people from the Netherlands on 3D Total and certainly not so many from my neighbourhood. (but then again, almost everything in The Netherlands is close to each other)

the schools here are relatively large where i live, about 1400 students i think each grade, so all the seniors make up prolly 4200 students in plano for 3 campuses

but most of us just talk the normal american way, where you can't tell where we're from...but we do say "ya'll":)

I got the bottle from a friend back in 2000 or 2001, noone ever drank any of it and you only nipped on it. I would never buy burbon because it tastes awful (like water that rot in a wooden barrell, which effectively it did).

Well, those are mostly made by a friend of mine, but we very much got the same style of taking pictures... The one where you're looking under the porch of the Louvre, without knowing he took it, I took one with my own camera a few days later, and it's almost the same... Two bodies, one mind.

The ones on the site are chosen out of about 60, so it's not like every picture is a good one...

Yeah, that was something that really shook up the dutch… Sessy, do you know how much this guy got for that? If I remember correctly he was judged by normal law instead of juvenile, wasn’t he?
