A few manga style drawings :)

I haven't posted anything in this forum for a while so I thought I'd pop back and put up some of my 2D pics and see what sort of response they get :D

The first one's of my girlfriend and the second one's of her family pet, Quigley the Bearded Collie dog. These 2 I did for a birthday card and then a present for her 24th birthday :) The third one's the the latest one I finished off about a month ago of some monkey warrior type of character I made.

Nice cel shading. All three are good. I especially like the monkey pic. Looks like a still from an anime.:)

Yeah some very cool stuff & you should definately think of creating maybe a flash short with the little monkey - dramatic pose & lighting like that demands more!

Digging the monkey. The other two look good as well, but the woman's pose is a little strange (mainly because the arm holding out the bone looks a little out of proportion and twisted, and that hand looks mangled), although she is a cutie :) . Her shoulders are also funky (one is higher than the other :p ). The dog is well drawn, but just doesn't have a catchy appearance that appeals to me :dunno: . I think that the lines on those two pictures should be more prominent and have a consistent thickness, because right now those pics almost appear unfinished. Anyways I love the anime style. Hope to see more of your work :) .
