Thought I would enter this one as well. Im a bit over doing all the seriousness so im gunna go a bit offbeat from the norm. What I am thinking is all this pressure, loneliness and striving to survive in this harsh armageddon type setting has driving him completely insane. which is something i can relate to.

the shot i am thinking about is going to be wide, with my character laughing lunatically with his hands in the air, his guns and equipment flying off. I want to capture that moment where he snaps and goes completely off his rocker and throws his stuff into the air and just bursts out laughing and running away from everything. background elements might include some meteors flying and crashing in right next to him, or some huge monsters screaming in the background, not sure yet :D.

anyway heres wat i have scrapped up quickly for his facial expression. oh his name is Jim Bob, kinda of a redneck / hill billy.

some lines quick. jst gunna do a colour study under this when ive got everything in. I imagine a huge meteor behind him flying for him, right of frame. and lots of other meteors in the distance crashing into the ground.

i still got a lot of drawing and props to put in, just wanted to see where it was going colour wise. so i did a quick colour study.

Thank god there are chickens in this. You just made my day.
one thing: even if the stock is a two by four i think it should be turned to be vertical like a normal stock would, right now it doesn't seem to be connected at the center of the board. also from where the shadow is it looks to me as though his knee is just a few inches of the ground while he looks like he's leaping through the air.
Really like this approach, keep it up.
