Whats up with all the spam lately?

Really its freaking me out. If I want Windows 7 I buy it (well already did), and I don't care about information about weird cellphones.

I'm not a web programmer (at least, not a good one) but isn't there anything we can do to stop this? Maybe some sort of "lock" so automatic messages can't be executed here anymore?

for me it's two clicks + spamm in the report page. but they are annoying.

The bigger a community gets, the more spam it attracts. And so, the bigger guns the moderators need to use. Keep reporting spam, and we'll also keep an eye out for these buggers. But sometimes some will get through and until someone notices them they'll do their damage.

Edit: As for the Win7 vs Vista thread, even though it started as spam, the thread evolved into a coherent conversation so I thought I'd let it stay there.
