Shading above the eye section looks wrong

and it isnt COPYWRITE infringment if you give credit. i.e. "Character is the property of Warner Bro's" or something along those lines.

Well thats not what worries me,its that alot of HR people like to see original work instead of copyrighted,as for shadows i agree still trying to learn to use shader more effectivly.

Actually i wish i could help you,but the cell shade feature comes with max 5,all it is is a material which gives its the cell shade look. Although from what i hear the cell shade look is quite a pain in the ass to do on other software.

hey great model.....bender has to be on of the coolest cartoon characters I have ever seen :D
I think if you want to do cel shading you're best to use either max5's ink'n'paint, or plugins like brazils cel shader or even swift3d (which is good if you wanna export to flash). I prefer brazil myself....i think it renders a bit quicker (although my computer is a slow assed 5year old antique so everythin renders slow)
would like to see fry and the rest of em too :) any plans for doing the whole team?

Possibly,im having a little trouble with smoother shapes,the shader has a little problem detecting the outline of smoother shapes.

The reference pic i got for bender must be an old one cuz thats the color the arms were.
